0 18

The video game adaptation of cult classic manga Sand Land is set to launch on PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X|S on April 26. Sand Land will launch in multiple versions, including standard, deluxe, and collector’s editions. Preorders for each edition are available now from multiple retailers, and those who buy the game early get access to exclusive pre-purchase bonus DLC.

We’ll go over all the Sand Land versions and where you can preorder them below, but first, we want to point out that PC players can save 18% on the standard and deluxe versions of Sand Land when they preorder at GameSpot’s sibling site, Fanatical. Fanatical’s Sand Land preorder discount drops the standard edition to just $49.19 (normally $60) and the deluxe edition to $57.39 (down from $70), and you get a 5%-off coupon code usable on a future Fanatical purchase, plus the bonus preorder DLC outlined below. All keys purchased at Fanatical unlock via Steam. For console players, read on to see where you can preorder Sandland on PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X|S, and what each version includes.

Sand Land preorder bonus

Preordering Sand Land before April 26 gets you the exclusive Survivalist Camo Pack DLC as a preorder bonus, which adds three unique camo skins you can apply to all in-game vehicles. The bonus is included with preorders of the standard, deluxe, and collector’s edition.

Sand land is an action RPG is based on Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama’s lesser-known one-shot manga series of the same name. Like the manga, the game is set in a post-apocalyptic desert where the last source of water has been dried up by a greedy king. Players control the young demon prince Beelzebub, who is commissioned by the sheriff of a nearby human town to find a new water supply. Players build mechs, tanks, and other vehicles to pilot into battle against monsters and the evil king’s Royal Army, and will even get to explore new lands not seen in the original manga.

While Sand Land’s story and setting reach beyond the original manga’s scope, the game’s developer, ILCA, Inc., has faithfully recaptured Toriyama’s visual style once again. The studio previously worked on Dragon Quest XI–which also features character and monster designs by Toriyama–and handled video game adaptations of other manga and anime franchises like One Piece: Odyssey and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond / Shining Pearl, so we’re curious to see how the team’s take on Sand Land shapes up when it launches on April 26.
