Sand land is an action RPG is based on Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama’s lesser-known one-shot manga series of the same name. Like the manga, the game is set in a post-apocalyptic desert where the last source of water has been dried up by a greedy king. Players control the young demon prince Beelzebub, who is commissioned by the sheriff of a nearby human town to find a new water supply. Players build mechs, tanks, and other vehicles to pilot into battle against monsters and the evil king’s Royal Army, and will even get to explore new lands not seen in the original manga.
While Sand Land’s story and setting reach beyond the original manga’s scope, the game’s developer, ILCA, Inc., has faithfully recaptured Toriyama’s visual style once again.
