Four-part docuseries arrives on Hulu on April 26

Hulu has shared the first full look at Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story, the four-part docuseries about the Rock Hall-inducted band premiering on the streaming service in April.

Like the first look that was shared last month, the new trailer follows these “bunch of kids from New Jersey” from their early days recording music on borrowed studio time to their ascent in the Eighties to penning “Livin’ on a Prayer” (“That’s the best song we’ve written to date”) to the band’s recent years, including Jon Bon Jovi’s vocal injury.

The docuseries, directed by Gotham Chopra, features interviews with all of the group’s original members, including Richie Sambora, who left the band in 2013. “I’m excited,” the guitarist says in the trailer. “Are we telling the truth or are we gonna lie? What we gonna do?”

Also interviewed for the docuseries is fellow Garden State rock god Bruce Springsteen, who says in the trailer of the band’s music, “Jon’s choruses demand to be sung by 20,000 people in an arena.” (Springsteen was also on hand to celebrate Bon Jovi at the 2024 MusiCares Person of the Year gala.)

Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story joins the band in February 2022 and follows their real-time journey with its fits and starts as they attempt to chart out their future. As thrilling as the story of a once-in-a-lifetime talent is, it is even more rare that a legend like Jon Bon Jovi lets the world into his most vulnerable moments while he’s still living them,” Hulu said of the docuseries, which arrives April 26.

“Forty years of personal videos, unreleased early demos, original lyrics and never-before-seen photos that chronicle the journey from Jersey Shore clubs to the biggest stages on the planet.”
