I applied for the role on the Indeed platform. This was a work-from-home internship.

After a few days, I got a call from HR regarding the interview process and she scheduled my interview in the coming week.

I couldn’t give my round on the assigned date because I was ill that day, so HR rescheduled this interview for me which was a good gesture from them.

Round 1 (Technical Interview round)

  1. The interviewer was very calm and friendly. He introduced himself and asked me to do the same. He started off by asking very friendly questions bringing me into a comfort zone.
  2. The basic point of the interview was to test my command of javascript as a developer.
  3. He started off by asking to code a debounce function in a search bar.
  4. You can read more about it here: https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/debouncing-in-javascript/
  5. But before that, he gave me a simple question to check my basics, this was to write a setTimeout() function to add 100 to a number b after 5 sec meanwhile I was coding, he kept asking me about scopes, hoisting, async and sync programming, etc.
  6. After coding warmup, we jumped to debouncing. He was also coding along with me along with some hints. Again very friendly wherever I was not comfortable he assisted me.
  7. Lastly, he asked me to center a box using Flexbox in CSS which was again easy.

This round lasted for an hour.

Round 2 (Managerial)

I was asked some basic questions on why I wanted to join Sensehawk and then the interviewer told me about Sensehawk and how the culture is here. He also explained to me how the internship was going to be for the next 6 months and asked me for my joining date.

I was selected after this round for the internship.
