Seventeen’s Dino Drops Music Video for ‘Wait’ From Debut Solo Mixtape

Dino joins fellow Seventeen members Hoshi, Woozi, and Vernon in releasing a solo project

Seventeen‘s Dino dropped his new mixtape Wait, along with a high-energy music video Monday, marking the K-pop star’s solo debut.

Much like the track’s title, Dino spends part of the music video waiting for his order at a cafe or sitting on a bench with a floral bouquet, hoping to receive a text back from a love interest. In between these agonizing pauses, Dino takes to the streets for a dance break. After blowing off some steam, he finally returns his ticket and walks out the door with his order, with a black flower pinned to the bag.

“Don’t tell me wait/ I’ll hold you close and tell you/ Not to question us, don’t worry/ You and me, that’s why we shine (Don’t tell me wait)/ Please don’t tell me wait,” he sings.

Dino, a member of the performance unit, isn’t the first of the 13-member boy band to release a solo project: fellow members Hoshi, Woozi, and Vernon have all released their own. K-pop group Seventeen dropped their studio album Seventeenth Heaven in October and released a mini album FML in April. (During the same month, Rolling Stone and Seventeen collaborated on a special edition zine.)
