Shania Twain fans are in for a surprise next year.
After she dropped her latest single Waking Up Dreaming last month, the country music superstar announced she will release Queen of Me in February before hitting the road for a global 49-date tour that will see her playing shows right across Canada, including two nights at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage on June 23 and 24.

“I want to celebrate this new chapter with you all on my tour,” Twain, 57, shared in a Twitter post. “Vegas has been a dream, but I’m ready to be on the road again … This one’s gonna be a big party — no inhibitions, no conditions, let’s get a little out of line!!”

Of the new album — her first since 2017’s Now — Twain said the songs will reflect her current state of mind.
“Right now, I’m feeling very comfortable in my own skin — and this album reflects that musically,” she shared. “Life is short and I want to be uplifted, colourful, unapologetic and empowered.”
She continued, “I want to carry a clear message, particularly as a woman, to always remember my power and I hope the songs are a reminder to you, of that same power inside you!”
To coincide with the tour and album news, the Grammy-winning music icon released the anthemic new single, Last Day of Summer.
“This new record is fun and celebrative, really on the other side of Now,” Twain told Rina Sawayama in a recent Rolling Stone Musicians on Musicians interview. “I’m happy in my own skin. I’m celebrating that feeling, less apologetic for who I am and what I’ve become. This is me, and I like myself.”
Tickets go on-sale Nov. 4. For a full list of tour dates, visit shaniatwain.com.
