Shortlisting: Out of 300 candidates they shortlisted 25 students for further interview process. The criteria for shortlisting were projects, coding profiles rating, CGPA, etc.

Online Assessment Round (1 hr): This round was conducted through the Hackerrank Platform. There were 17 questions out of which 16 were mcqs/msqs based on topics like Selenium, Linux commands, Bash, Data Structures and Algorithms, etc. and 1 was a coding question that was compulsory to be done in Python language.

Question: Given a binary string convert it to its equivalent decimal/octal/hexadecimal/binary form depending upon the input parameter(‘d’ for decimal, ‘h’ for hexadecimal, ‘o’ for octal, and ‘b’ for binary)

Technical Round – I (1-1.25 hr): Based on the test results they shortlisted 10 candidates for this round.

  • Introduce yourself.
  • The interviewer asked me to rate my skills in Python out of 10.
  • Then she asked me about my comfortable coding language and told me to write code for the implementation of Stack using an array and linked list on a paper.
  • Asked me to write code for reversing a string in Python and binary search.
  • Then she asked me about some OOP concepts like inheritance, virtual functions, virtual base class, an abstract class.
  • Asked me the difference between multiprocessing and multithreading and which one is better.
  • Difference between UDP and TCP.
  • What is a Doubly Linked List? Write code for it and what is the difference between Circular Linked List and a Doubly Linked List.
  • What is DNS?
  • Told me to write all the Linux commands that I know on paper.
  • Some SQL queries.
  • Questions based on libraries such as Numpy and Pandas were asked.
  • Then she gave me two puzzles to solve:
  1. https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/puzzle-measure-4-litre-with-3-and-5-litre-bottle/
  2. 9 balls, identical in appearance. 8 are of the same weight. 1 is heavier. Identify this heavier ball by using a scale twice.

Technical Round – II (45 mins- 1hr): There were 2 interviewers for this round. 6 students were shortlisted for this round.

  • What is SQA?
  • What is JIRA?
  • Asked me to code merge sort in an editor in my comfortable language.
  • Then gave me a problem based on testing according to different modes(0/1) and checking whether a number lies in a desired range or not. I have to consider all the scenarios and give where the cases where test cases can fail.
  • Asked me to implement a dictionary and told me to delete some keys from it in an efficient way.
  • Are you familiar with Selenium?
  • Then they asked me If I had some questions for them
  • I asked them about the role and then they explained me.

HR Round (10-15 mins): Typical HR questions

Out of 6, they finally selected 4 candidates.
