Skoda Kushaq SUV Monte Carlo edition launched

Skoda Auto India has now officially launched the Monte Carlo edition of the Kushaq compact SUV. The SUV had already started reaching dealerships in many parts of the country. Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo edition is available with both 1.0 litre TSI and 1.5 litre TSI engine. The price for the Kushaq Monte Carlo edition starts at Rs 15.99 lakh, ex-showroom and goes up to Rs 19.49 lakh, ex-showroom. The Monte Carlo edition is homage to Skoda’s motorsport heritage and Rallye Monte Carlo. Kushaq is the second product from Skoda to get the Monte Carlo edition. It was first offered with Skoda Rapid which is not available in the market anymore.

Commenting on the introduction of the new Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo, Mr. Zac Hollis, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India said, “With our recent successes and our biggest ever month in India, it was only apt that we celebrated with a badge that embodies the Spirit of Victory at Skoda. Skoda has made cosmetic changes to the Kushaq Monte Carlo edition when compared with the regular version. All the chrome elements on the car have been blacked out for a sporty appeal. The front grille gets glossy black finish and similar treatment has been given to the front and rear bumper are well. The Kushaq Monte Carlo edition is available in Tornado Red and Candy White colours. The roof on both these colour options are finish in contrastin glossy carbon steel shade. A set of matte roof rails are also installed in the car. Coming to the side profile, the car gets 17 inch dual-tone alloy wheels which go well with the overall look of the SUV. The Kushaq now gets Monte Carlo fender garnish in gloss black instead of Skoda badge.

As we move to the rear, there are more changes in the car. The chrome lettering on the tail gate have all been finished in black. The rear bumper skid plate has also been finished in gloss black. Moving in, the Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo gets a different theme for the cabin. It is inspired from the motorsport heritage and gets Red and Black dual-tone theme. The seats are wrapped in Red and black leatherette upholstery for added sportiness. There are Red accents on the dashboard as well. The front gets ventilated seats, automatic climate control, electric sunroof, fully digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system and so on.

Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo is available with both 1.0 litre TSI and 1.5 litre TSI petrol engines. The 1.0 litre TSI is offered with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. It is priced at Rs 15.99 lakh and 17.69 lakh respectively. The 1.5 litre TSI engine is available with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DSG transmission. It is priced at Rs 17.89 lakh and Rs 19.49 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom).
