The incident took place in October 2023 before all charges were swiftly dropped and the matter became “closed and sealed,” per AP. Jabbari was briefly arrested at a New York City police station on the evening of October 25 and charged with misdemeanor assault and criminal mischief before the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office decided to decline prosecuting the case against her because it lacked “prosecutorial merit.”
Gaffey shared with the court that he felt the information regarding Jabbari’s arrest “should be put before a jury” as they assess her assault claims against Jonathan Majors. Jabbari will also be allowed to testify during the trial.
