- The new model will be priced at $499.99 (approx Rs 41,600) with the included drive, while the PS5 Digital Edition will cost $449.99 (approx Rs 37,440) in the US.
- Meanwhile, in Europe, the new model will be available for 549.99 EUR (approx Rs 48,555), and the Digital Edition will come for 449.99 EUR (approx Rs 39,733).
- The new PS5 model will be bundled with a horizontal stand. Additionally, there will be a new vertical stand available for purchase separately at a price of $29.99 (approx Rs 2,495) and 29.99 EUR (approx Rs 2,646), and it will be compatible with all PS5 models.
- The new PS5 model will be available in the US this November at select local stores and on direct.playstation.com.
- The company mentioned that it will gradually become available worldwide in the months that follow.
- Sony also said that once the current PS5 model is no longer in stock, the new PS5 will be the only one you can get.

- The new PS5 is now smaller by over 30 percent in terms of volume and lighter by 18 percent and 24 percent compared to the older models.
- Sony has incorporated a raised section on the side of the PS5 to accommodate the disc drive, and you have the option to detach it and substitute it with a side panel.
- Users who buy the standard PS5 Digital Edition will have the option to later get the Blu-ray disc drive separately from the company at a certain price.
- The new change also includes two openings on each side and, at the front, two USB-C ports, replacing the single USB-C and USB-A ports found on the current PS5.
