If you’re on the lookout for a new weather app, we may have just the one for you. Sunny is a simplistic weather app that has a really nice-looking UI. As long as you’re looking to keep it simple, this app is worth checking out.
Sunny is a simplistic weather app with an appealing UI design
The main screen is fairly simple. In the upper portion, you get a huge icon showing you the current weather situation, along with all the additional info you may need, such as the temperature, ‘feels like’ temperature, and more.
In the lower portion, you get a carousel with the hourly forecast. You can easily scroll through it. If you’re more interested in a 7-day forecast, that is easily accessible via a button in the top-right corner of the bottom carousel. You can also access more detailed weather info from the bottom of the interface too.
Now, if you tap the 7-day forecast, you’ll get a vertical list of the upcoming days, along with all the basic info for each day. You can tap on either of those days to get a more detailed look at what you can expect weather-wise.
From the home screen, you can add more than one place to your weather info, if that’s what you need. Some additional settings are available in the settings too.
The developer promised to deliver a bunch of new features soon
The developer did promise more features are coming, as the app is still in beta, sort of. He said that air quality info is on the way, and the same goes for the weather radar functionality. Multiple weather providers will be available soon as well, as will the homescreen widgets.
So, there’s a lot planned for the app, and it will be even more useful in the near future. Do note that you may stumble upon a bug or two at the moment, though, as the app is still in beta. If that’s not bothering you, feel free to try it out.
