Suzuki Achieves 1 Million Production Milestone in India, Here’s What Top Official Says

The celebratory unit of tech-loaded Suzuki Access was rolled out from the Kherki Dhaula plant in Gurugram, flaunting the sticker price of Rs 1.08 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Japan-based two-wheeler giant Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) has unlocked a historic milestone in the Indian market. The company has produced 1 million motorcycles within the financial year 2023-24, registering itself as one of the most reputed brands in the country.

While confirming the news via an official release, the brand informed about the celebratory unit of popular Suzuki Access. It says the vehicle was rolled out from the Kherki Dhaula plant in Gurugram, flaunting the sticker price of Rs 1.08 lakh (ex-showroom).

Reacting about the milestone, SMIPL’s Executive Vice President of production, Rajneesh Kumar Mehta says, “Achieving the production of one million units in less than a year is a remarkable accomplishment for Suzuki Motorcycle India. To keep up with the consistently increasing demand for Suzuki Two-Wheelers both from the domestic market and our overseas markets, we have gone beyond our original installed capacity of 1 Million Units per year.”

In addition, he also appreciated the efforts of the works, and said, “Our Workmen and Engineers have demonstrated a very high level of ingenuity and commitment while operating the plant at its peak capacity and simultaneously taking steps to enhance delivered capacity. We are thankful to all our employees and our suppliers whose efforts have made this significant milestone possible.”

Sales Performance in 2023

Meanwhile, SMIPL also witnessed a good sales mark in 2023, and ended the year on a good note. It retailed over 84,302 units in October last year, which was considered as highest domestic sale ever.
