Intel just leaked its 13th Gen processor specs

Intel has accidentally published the specifications for its 13th Gen Raptor Lake processors. A day after confirming an upcoming 13th Gen CPU will run at 6GHz at stock, Intel published and quickly deleted specs for its Core i5-13600K, Core i7-13700K, and Core i9-13900K CPUs. Intel posted the specs to its Canadian website (Google cached view), and Twitter users were quick to spot them. The specs reveal that the top of the line i9 13900K will have 24 cores and 32 threads, with the performance cores running at a maximum…

Intel’s 13th gen Raptor Lake to deliver 6GHz stock, break 8GHz world record

About a month before Intel officially announces its 13th generation Raptor Lake CPUs, the company revealed some key details at its Intel Tech Tour in Israel. The new Raptor Lake desktop processor will be up to 15% faster at single-threaded workloads and up to 41% faster at multi-threaded workloads than Alder Lake. Also, Raptor Lake will have the first SKU to run at up to 6GHz stock clock speed. Intel also claims the chip will reach world-record-breaking 8GHz, supposedly with the use of liquid nitrogen. Also, it would…

The next Nintendo Direct streams on September 13th

This is not a drill (or a tweet from a phony Nintendo account). Nintendo has at long last revealed when its next showcase takes place. It has set a Nintendo Direct for September 13th at 10AM ET. You can watch the stream on Nintendo's YouTube channel or below. It's worth noting that the Nintendo UK YouTube channel won't stream the Direct live "as a mark of respect during this period of national mourning," following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The Direct will be still available on demand on the channel as of 4PM UK…

Nintendo Direct: Nintendo’s next showcase is on September 13th

Nintendo’s next Direct showcase will take place tomorrow, September 13th. The Nintendo Direct will be broadcast at 7AM PT / 10AM ET tomorrow morning and will include “roughly 40 minutes of information mostly focused on Nintendo Switch games launching this winter.” Forty minutes is plenty of time to detail this year’s Switch releases, but it also leaves room for more details on the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The still-unnamed sequel was originally set for a 2022 release date, but it got delayed…

Intel says one of its 13th Gen CPUs will hit 6GHz out of the box

At least one of Intel’s forthcoming 13th-generation CPUs will be able to run at 6GHz at stock, Tom’s Hardware reports. The detail was shared in a slide onstage at Intel’s Technology Tour 2022, which also says it’ll be capable of hitting 8GHz when overclocked. Other improvements promised for this new generation, which is named Raptor Lake, include a 15 percent improvement in single-threaded performance, and a 41 percent improvement in multi-threaded performance. Intel’s 6GHz claim is a shot across the bow at competitor…

‘Friday the 13th’ Diehards Reveal How They’d Slash the Saga Into Shape if Given the Chance

Image via New Line Cinema Oh, what an adventure the Friday the 13th franchise has gone on; from its humble beginnings as a slasher teed up to rival the likes of Halloween, to quickly establishing Jason Voorhees as his own beast, to placing him in a matchup against Freddy Krueger, to facing his biggest opponent of all in the form of copyright disputes, Friday the 13th seems to be the uncontested journeyman in the world of horror. With New Line Cinema’s cheeky Instagram teaser having dropped earlier this month,…

Jason Slices into Your DM in New Line Cinema’s ‘Friday the 13th’ Tease

Image via Gun Media Just a week after the original Friday the 13th director teased what appeared to be a long-awaited 13th installment to the franchise, movie studio New Line Cinema is already hinting at what very well may be the horror icon Jason Vorhees’ return to cinema screens. In a tongue-in-cheek Instagram post, the movie studio posted a photo of a phone lock screen with a notification that “Jason Voorhees Wants to send you a message.” “Uh oh. What do you think Jason Voorhees wants?” New Line Cinema…

‘Friday the 13th’ Director Teases 13th Installment for Next Year

Image via Paramount Pictures The original Friday the 13th director, Sean Cunnginham, appears to be teasing that a forthcoming follow-up to the franchise is in the works after the films have long stagnated due to a complicated legal battle over rights issues. Not only would the movie, purportedly scheduled for release next year, represent the 13th installment in the franchise overall, but the news funnily enough comes a solid 13 years after the last film hit theaters, as Bloody Disgusting originally reported.…

Intel 13th Gen Raptor Lake CPU Pricing Pops Up on Canadian Retailer

Canadian electronics retailer listings for what looks like the Intel 13th Gen Core Raptor Lake lineup have appeared online. The listings, spotted by Twitter’s momomo_us, are for the Intel Core i9-13900K / KF, Core i7-13700K / KF, and Core i5-13600K / KF. Take these prices with a pinch of salt — there's a chance they're just placeholders for the upcoming CPUs. However, it looks like Intel's new processors could be priced about 15% higher than the previous generation. (Image credit: momomo_us)Looking at the launch flagship…

Kevin Bacon Doesn’t Hold ‘Friday the 13th’ in the Same Regard as Fans Do

via Paramount Pictures Many people see Friday the 13th as one of the greatest and most important horror films of all time, but Kevin Bacon sees it as just another gig that helped him survive as a struggling actor. The now-esteemed actor had appeared in only a handful of projects before he was cast as a camp counselor in Friday the 13th. His work was solid if a little short; he’s one of the first people killed by Mrs. Voorhees. We can understand if Bacon, at the time, thought little about acting for a pittance…
