Adobe’s ‘Firefly’ Image Generator Is Going to Make Photoshop Much Easier to Use

Adobe’s Photoshop has grown to become an incredibly capable and powerful image editing tool, but its ever-increasing complexity also makes it harder for new users to learn how to use it. That could change later this year, however, as Photoshop will soon introduce some new AI-powered tools that allow users to perform complex edits by simply asking the app to do it for them.In March, Adobe revealed its AI image generation tool, called Firefly, which stood out from similar tools with a promise that it wouldn’t infringe upon…

Adobe’s new AI automates PDF accessibility tags

Depending on who you ask, AI can be mesmerizing, terrifying or some combination of both. But Adobe’s accessibility-focused artificial intelligence is a use case that (I hope) any reasonable person can get behind. The company’s new Auto-Tag API can remove the tedium from making accessibility-friendly PDFs for people with disabilities. PDFs have built-in metadata providing structural information — headings, paragraphs, lists and tables — in documents for assistive tech like screen readers. But tagging digital documents for…
