Before the Marvel Cinematic Universe came in with Iron Man and Thor as its leading men, most audiences beyond comic-book readers were familiar with Marvel thanks to the animated series for Spider-Man and the X-Men—and the solo movies for Blade the Vampire Hunter. Played then by Wesley Snipes, that trilogy of R-rated films spanning 1998-2004 has a reputation for re-energizing the superhero movie scene after ‘90s duds like Batman & Robin and Spawn.io9 Interview: Oscar Isaac Was 'All In' on Moon KnightTalking about what…

Although it’s not an accurate title; that would have been “Nerd Buys a Murderous Sex Robot.”Bryce Dallas Howard on a Feature Star Wars Film and Book of Boba FettThe best thing about “Terry’s…

And similar to what part of nerd Twitter has been doing over the weekend, we asked you about some of your favorite scenes that encapsulated why Conroy’s take on the Caped Crusader was so definitive. (Not a terribly hard feat, since he spent so long being Batman.)Leaving aside that yes, the real answer is “pretty much every time

Harley Quinn Retells Batman’s Origin Story in a Fresh Way

Screenshot: WB AnimationHBO Max’s Harley Quinn series is popular enough to not only survive the streaming service’s recent bloodbath, but manage to score a fourth season. If you watched the recent episode where the reformed family man Joker runs for Gotham’s mayor, you likely know why. But as good as Harley Quinn has been, I was shocked to discover the series could tell Batman’s origin story in a genuinely fresh way. There have been plenty of comics that acknowledged Bruce’s career as Batman as an extended way ofdealing

The Next Generation Role Is His Best

Screenshot: ParamountDavid Warner, who sadly passed away earlier this week, is beloved for his villainous turns. From Time After Time to Time Bandits, from Tron to Batman: The Animated Series’ Ra’s Al Ghul, the actor’s legendary career is paved with them. But perhaps his finest hour on television comes from his third and final Star Trek role in The Next Generation.“Chain of Command” sits as a two-parter in the middle of The Next Generation’s sixth season. It’s one of the show’s best, and beloved for a haunting turn by
