Developer planning apartments pays $12M for corner in Denver’s Capitol Hill

A Denver developer has purchased a site in Cap Hill where it plans an 18-story apartment building. Trailbreak Partners paid $12.04 million last week for two parcels at the northeast corner of 8th Avenue and Lincoln Street, according to public records. Office Depot closing decade-old store along Colfax in Denver’s Capitol Hill neighborhood

Last call for staplers and printer paper. Office Depot plans to close its store at 616 E. Colfax Ave. in the Cap Hill neighborhood. Large “Closing” signs have been posted on the building. An employee working Wednesday said the store’s last day will be Dec. 10. The store opened in December 2012, according to Denver Post coverage at the time.
