Google Working on ‘Project Caviar’ for Royalty-Free Open Media Formats, Aims to Take on Dolby: Report
Google is reportedly developing two new media formats to offer High Dynamic Range (HDR) video and 3D audio under a new consumer-recognizable brand name. As per a report, the Alphabet-owned company shared its plan for open media formats, internally known as Project Caviar, at a closed-door event with hardware manufacturers, earlier this year.
