How the Finale of the Dungeons & Dragons ’80s Cartoon Became a Pop-Culture Mystery

Hasbro’s multitude of celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons include streaming the fan-favorite 1980s D&D cartoon on the 24/7 Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures FAST channel. The animated series, despite a relatively short run of three seasons and 27 episodes, has become a fantasy genre classic. The engaging storytelling and dark themes greatly influenced future media—and the characters were so memorable, 40 years later they caused a social media frenzy when their live-action counterparts…

Dungeons of Hinterberg might be this year’s surprise indie great

Curve Games Last summer’s Xbox Games Showcase was filled with so many eye-catching titles that I wouldn’t blame you for forgetting half of them. One title that’s stayed with me since then, though, is Dungeons of Hinterberg. The unique action RPG stood out thanks to its use of the Alps as a backdrop and its bold style that made it look like a visual novel come to life. It looked like the kind of game I’d love, but I’d need to get hands-on to see if it felt the part, too. Any skepticism I had there was washed away as…

Palworld mods adds handy mini-map for Pal hunting, dungeons, and rare finds

Things are starting to slow down for the plucky out-of-nowhere sensation that is Palworld. But it’s still doing pretty well for itself, and if you are carrying on with it, you may be interested in this pretty nifty mod for the PC version. As spotted by DSO Gaming, you can now add a mini-map to the Palworld UI, thanks to user T3R3NC3B over on Nexus Mods. Seems like such a small addition to the game, but given that it shows the location of all pals, it could well be an essential download for a lot of people. Image via…

The news was announced earlier this week by Jaquays’ wife Rebecca Heineman who shared a brief statement on social media. Jaquays was diagnosed with the rare neurological condition Guillain-Barré syndrome in October. “We both were convinced we had more time,” Heineman wrote before adding: “To paraphrase Dr Seuss: Don’t cry because Jennell is gone. Making a meal of fantasy dungeons

I’d like to think that everyone who’s played an RPG has wondered what its fantastical creatures might look like on a plate. If you try to show me someone who hasn’t ever thought about eating a Pokémon, I will show you a liar. And it’s that bold adventuring spirit that Delicious in Dungeon, which recently debuted on Netflix, simmers to perfection. Based on the manga Delicious in Dungeon (or Dungeon Meshi) by Ryōko Kui, the Netflix anime adaptation has a powerhouse behind it with Kill la Kill and Little Witch Academia…
