Elvis Presley Hologram to Perform on London Stage Later This Year

Elvis Presley is set to return to the stage — as a hologram. Elvis Evolution, an “immersive concert experience” that uses AI and holographic projection, will premiere in London in November. Additional shows are planned in Las Vegas, Tokyo and Berlin. The show was created based on thousands of the musician’s personal photos and home-video footage, which were part of a deal between Authentic Brands Group, the owners of the Elvis Presley estate, and Layered Reality, a British immersive entertainment company. Layered…

Rachel Lopez picks her favourite reads of 2023

I don’t need Spotify’s year-end list. I already know that I’ve played Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours all through 2023. Blame Taylor Jenkins Reid. Her 2019 novel, Daisy Jones & the Six, follows a fictitious 1970s band – their music, the drama, the epic final show and subsequent breakup – and is loosely inspired by Rumours. It’s a tale told through interviews; events seen from the points of view of various members of the band. There’s sex, drugs, rock and roll. But there’s also the magic of hitting on a great tune, spinning…

Report: Jacob Collier in Mumbai

₹4,200 for a Gold section ticket – which is still just the third best section at the venue – is the kind of price usually paid for a multi-band concert held over two days. And here I was spending that much for a 90-minute show. I wasn’t the only one. Tickets to Jacob Collier’s Mumbai concert at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) were being sold at the pace of Bumrah’s bowling and I was grateful to have grabbed one. The 29-year-old is the only British artist to have won a Grammy for each of his first four…

Indiana Jones and Dial of Destiny vs. Kingdom of Crystal Skull

Indiana Jones is one of the most beloved franchises in the world, so anytime a new sequel comes out, expectations are enormous. Unfortunately, when expectations are that high, the result is usually disappointment, as seen with 2008's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Now, with Indy’s latest adventure Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny coming to theaters June 30, director James Mangold looked back at the previous film to see what part four didwrong that the first three films did so right.Spoilers of

Miasma Chronicles makes critical hits feel even deadlier

Just when I think there are no new ways to make a tactics game, something like Miasma Chronicles completely blows that notion apart. Developed by The Bearded Ladies, the upcoming tactical RPG is something of a continuation of the studio’s previous project, Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden. It’s another post-apocalyptic adventure that has players freely exploring large worlds and stopping to battle monsters in traditional turn-based tactical battles. Don’t expect the exact same experience, though; the old dog has…
