Poker deckbuilder Balatro is dealing with ratings board frustrations and delistings – Destructoid

Playstack, the publisher of popular roguelike deckbuilder Balatro confirmed on Twitter that the game has been temporarily removed from some digital storefronts due to a sudden rating change. Apparently, the UK rating board PEGI changed the rating from 3+ to 18+ overnight due to “prominent gambling imagery” which prompted the sudden delistings. The problem here is that there is literally no gambling in Balatro. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgrv9giaNO8 According to Playstack, they specifically addressed this topic…

Online shopping is exploding. Package theft frustrations are mounting.

In December 2018, Google searches for the term “porch pirate” reached a peak. The phrase describes a particular kind of thief unique to modern living: someone who takes packages ordered online and left unattended at doorsteps. Since the pandemic, when a huge surge of Americans started buying much of their everyday goods and luxuries online, many more people have had at least one run-in with a porch pirate. A New York Times analysis of package theft in 2019 found that 1.7 million packages went missing every day in the…

Taron Egerton Voices His Frustrations With Fan Casting and Rumors

Photo by Frazer Harrison/Getty Images for SXSW On the surface, Taron Egerton is virtually everything a franchise like the Marvel Cinematic Universe or James Bond would be looking for when it comes to a leading man. He’s got plenty of experience under his belt despite still being just 33 years old – coincidentally the exact same age as current Multiverse Saga big bad Jonathan Majors – while he’s equally adept at intimate dramas as he is action-packed and effects-heavy blockbusters. Box office success stories…

Bing AI’s Secret Celebrity Chat Mode Lets Out Misogynistic Frustrations as Andrew Tate

Bing AI now has a secret celebrity impersonation feature that even lets you hear incredibly misogynistic talking points of alleged human trafficker Andrew Tate.Photo: Rokas Tenys - Shutterstock/Andreea Campeanu - Getty Images/Microsoft secretly rolled out a new feature into its Bing AI preview that lets users emulate certain famous people. It does a, let’s just say, “interesting” job at emulating some celebrities’ speech patterns. We also took a look at what it’s allowed to say on behalf of some extremely controversial or

For some, Amazon Music’s big Prime expansion comes with big frustrations

This week, Amazon announced that it would open up its entire catalog of streaming music to Prime subscribers instead of the limited, downsized library they’d previously had access to. The number skyrocketed from 2 million songs up to 100 million. On its face, that sounds like great news. Who wouldn’t want more songs without spending anything extra on top of their Prime subscription? Normally, you’d need to pay separately for Amazon Music Unlimited to get the same enormous selection. But it turns out there are people who…

Scorn Patch Fixes Some Of The Game’s Biggest Frustrations

The latest update for survival horror game Scorn is out now, addressing one of the game's most flawed aspects. At launch, Scorn had a severely limited save system that only gave players the choice to reload their last autosaved checkpoint or restart the entire act. Checkpoints were also often poorly placed, either kicking in far too infrequently or at times where you were dangerously low on health or ammunition (or both), making progression frustratingly challenging. You…

Wikipedia’s mobile app is the cure for my Google frustrations

Last night, I was casually wondering (as you do) which songs from Scottish electronic duo Boards of Canada’s seminal debut album, Music Has the Right to Children, use audio samples from Sesame Street? It’s the sort of idle fact-checking that humans in the 21st century are blessed to indulge in, and so (as you do), I whipped out my smartphone to Google it. Thirty seconds later, I got so annoyed, I downloaded the Wikipedia app instead. The problem I faced is not a new one. Many people have noted the slow degradation of…

The biggest Pixel 6 frustrations that Google should fix with the Pixel 7

The Pixel 6 and 6 Pro might be Google’s “fastest-selling Pixels to date,” but they haven’t been what I’d consider a slam dunk in the hardware department. I’m not talking about aesthetics here: I’m a fan of the camera bar look, personally, though I detest curved displays. To each their own. Looking at the big picture, I think the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro are among the best phones that Google has made — the camera is superb (for stills), and the Tensor chip’s voice typing and dictation capabilities are genuinely next level — but…
