What drew you to translate Trailokyanath Mukhopadhyay’s stories of magic realism? “Trailokyanath’s ghosts are of two kinds: the metaphysical and the metaphorical. The metaphysical ghosts are the regular definition of bhoot, they are the souls of dead men, women and children.
