Our Flag Means Death Showrunner David Jenkins Interview

Photo: John Sciulli / Stringer (Getty Images)David Jenkins, the showrunner for HBO Max’s hit pirate romantic comedy Our Flag Means Death, seems surprised when I tell him that I have never seen fandom engagement like I have for this show. The way that Our Flag Means Death’s writers, cast, and crew talk with the fandom, retweet fan art, post on social media, and support fan activities is quite possibly unprecedented. Sure, Joss Whedon went on fan forums for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Bryan Fuller occasionally interacted

11 Robot Movies to Watch Instead of Westworld’s New Season

Image: John P. Johnson (HBO)The new season of HBO’s dreary robot drama Westworld will soon return for its fourth season. In the words of Jeb Bush, “Please clap.”Everybody has their preferences when it comes to TV and movies. My personal preference is to steer clear of Westworld. I don’t totally understand how it’s possible to make a show about killer robots boring, but the creators of this prestige HBO drama have accomplished just that. The series, which returns on June 26, has big actors, huge budgets, full network

Jon Snow’s journey may not be over yet.Image: HBOIf you thought HBO’s plans for Game of Thrones’ future were all in the past at this point, you’re in for a shock: The network is planning to bring back Kit Harington’s Jon Snow for a new Thrones spinoff set after the events of the main series.THR reports that Harington is attached to the project already, even as it only enters the earliest stages of development, and would reprise his role as the Stark Bastard/Night’s Watch commander/eventual ally of his secret Aunt Daenerys

Westworld Season 4 Trailer: Evan Rachel Wood Somehow Returns on HBO Sci-Fi Series

Westworld season 4 trailer is out. On Thursday, HBO unveiled a two-minute 33-second new trailer for the fourth instalment of the sci-fi dystopian series Westworld to give fans a glimpse of what is in store for them this time around. The Westworld season 4 trailer introduces us to a new character named Christina (Evan Rachel Wood) who talks about the “story of a girl”. Things soon take a dark turn, as the focus shifts to the need to “question your own reality” and the theme of revenge. The Westworld season 4 trailer ends…

Westworld Season 4: Non-Spoiler Jeffrey Wright Interview

Bernard as we last saw him in the season three finale.Image: Courtesy of HBOWestworld is returning soon—and after that explosive (and frankly somewhat confusing) third-season finale, we have a lot of questions about what to expect from the sci-fi series’ next chapter. One of the most important parts of the Westworld puzzle has always been Jeffrey Wright’s Bernard—a robot “host” who spends a lot of his time trying to unravel what’s going on (and often, when it’s going on, too).01:57Rainn Wilson’s First Fandoms: Star Trek

Which is

New AT&T subscribers will no longer get HBO Max as ‘Premium’ replaces ‘Elite’

One perk most wireless carriers offer to pull you to their side is a free streaming video-on-demand subscription, but now AT&T won’t be giving HBO Max to new customers, and hasn’t replaced it with a different service either. The carrier stealthily discontinued its top-tier Unlimited Elite plan for new subscribers this week, and added a new one that doesn’t include HBO Max anymore, as reported by Next TV (via FierceWireless). The new top plan is called Unlimited Premium, which comes in at the same $85 a month for a…

New HBO Last of Us Picture Reveals Joel, Ellie, Clickers

Image: HBOHBO and Sony are doing a great job of letting us see as little of their live-action adaptation of The Last of Us as possible.
