Six companies notify state that they plan layoffs

A half dozen companies operating in the state informed the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment of their layoff plans as January came to a close. In total, the companies are letting go of 378 workers up and down the Front Range, from Fort Collins to Pueblo, according to Worker Readjustment and Retraining Notification Act notices filed with the state between Jan. 25 and Jan. 31. Xcel Energy-Colorado has pre-leased space in a soon-to-be-completed building in the River North Art District and plans to move out of its headquarters in downtown Denver in 2025.
