Aliens Could Be Using Quantum Communications to Talk Across Interstellar Space

While we haven't found any evidence of alien life yet, that doesn't mean it's not out there, beyond our reach. Now, a team of researchers has put together a mathematical model showing aliens could potentially be communicating across space – via quantum physics.  Efforts are well underway to make quantum communications a reality here on Earth. The idea is that quantum mechanics provide certain properties that would make information transfer inherently faster and more secure than regular systems... if we can get it to…

Dish says SpaceX ‘manipulated’ tests about 5G interference

Dish says SpaceX has been lying to customers about how a plan to expand the use of certain airwaves for 5G could disrupt its Starlink internet-from-space service. SpaceX sent a “manipulated filing” to the Federal Communications Commission in an attempt to prove the expanded 5G usage would lead to substantial interference, writes Dish and a group of other companies known as the 5G for 12 GHz Coalition. They write that SpaceX is conducting “a public misinformation campaign” against 5G. “This tactic, which is commonly…

SpaceX Says 5G Interference Could Make Starlink ‘Unusable’

That’s what SpaceX wants you to think, anyway. In a spicy new analysis released this week, SpaceX, which owns and operates the Starlink satellite network, argues that television provider Dish’s attempts to open up the 12GHz spectrum for both satellite use and

AT&T and Verizon give FAA another year to remedy C-band 5G interference issues

and have given the another year to fix altimeter issues as they look to roll out C-band 5G services around airports. “We believe we have identified a path that will continue to enable aviation and 5G C-band wireless to safely co-exist,” acting FAA administrator Billy Nolen . Under a phased plan, operators of regional aircraft with radio altimeters that are most susceptible to interference are required to fit them with radio frequency filters by the end of this year. That work is underway and the FAA says it will…

Did China’s FAST Telescope Just Discover Aliens? Here’s What You Need to Know

"Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence."– Carl Sagan (Cosmos, 1980) This phrase is the standard that astronomers will be applying to a curious signal captured with China's "Sky Eye" telescope that might be a transmission from alien technology.  An article reporting the signal was posted on the website of China's state-backed Science and Technology Daily newspaper, but was later removed. So have astronomers finally found evidence of intelligent found life beyond Earth? And is it being hushed up?We should be…

5G Interference Issues Could Linger for Years, US Airline Group Warns

It will likely take "years" to permanently address airplane interference issues caused by the deployment of 5G wireless in the C-band, a group representing major US passenger and cargo carriers will tell US lawmakers on Thursday.Nick Calio, who heads Airlines for America, will tell a House Transportation and Infrastructure subcommittee in written testimony that the 5G issues facing the aviation industry should have been avoided."The process that led to this operational nightmare should be held up as a cautionary tale of…
