It's called Apple Music Sing and will be available to all Apple Music subscribers worldwide, on iPhones, iPads, and the new Apple TV 4K. Think of it like Apple's version of karaoke and you won't be very far off. Apple Music Sing is an expansion of the lyrics experience, which lets you sing along to your favorite songs. You can adjust the song's vocals level so you can sing together with the artist, or even take the…

Apple Music now offers a karaoke mode

You don't need Spotify or a dedicated app to try karaoke at home. Apple Music has introduced a Sing feature that lets you take over the vocals. You can not only adjust the voice levels, but use multiple lyric views depending on what you want to belt out — you can perform a duet or even handle background duties. Apple also notes that the lyric views are now cued to the beat and light up slowly, so it's easier to know when you should draw out a verse. The feature will be available worldwide for "tens of millions" of tracks…

Apple Music Sing is a new built-in karaoke mode

Apple on Tuesday announced Apple Music Sing, a karaoke experience that will be built right into the Apple Music app. With Apple Music Sing, you’ll be able to follow along with Apple Music’s real-time lyrics and adjust the volume of the vocals so that you can better hear your singing voice. (I’ll personally be keeping the vocals up as loud as possible to hide my imperfections.)There are a few features designed to make it easier to sing with others, too. Background vocals can appear independently of main vocals, according…

Ken Wolf claims Voicebox Karaoke in Denver’s RiNo neighborhood done in by diverted profits

The failure of a karaoke bar in RiNo this year was caused not by market forces or the pandemic, its former investors say, but by an owner who wrongfully diverted $1.2 million from it. Voicebox Karaoke opened in a 4,500-square-foot space at 2601 Walnut St. in 2016 and moved out this summer. Voicebox CEO Scott Simon told BusinessDen in March that it was forced out by a landlord who refused to be lenient when the pandemic tanked revenues. But investors in Voicebox RiNo are now telling a different story. In a lawsuit filed…

Los Angeles is a karaoke town

Good morning, and welcome to the Essential California newsletter. It’s Monday, Nov. 14, and I’m Ada Tseng, assistant editor of the Utility Journalism Team — “news you can use” — and, as of Sunday, karaoke event planner for the Los Angeles Times. The Times and Sunday Jump hosted “Let’s Talk About Filipino American Mental Health (and Do Karaoke)” in Historic Filipinotown on Sunday. The event featured a panel discussion (I moderated) about reporter Agnes Constante’s mental health series in The Times and was followed by a…

How you and Pandora helped us build a karaoke song generator

Choosing the perfect karaoke song is a mix of art and science. So when we set out to create the ultimate guide to finding your go-to karaoke songs, we needed some musicians and data analysts. There’s a slight distinction between a good song and a good karaoke song. A good karaoke song is not only about what you want to sing; it’s also about reading the audience. So first, we needed you to tell us what your favorite karaoke songs were — and why.You shared whether you preferred singing songs from when you were young or…

L.A. karaoke in the time of COVID

On a rowdy night over the summer, Thom Sigsby danced around the Fable bar in Eagle Rock, ecstatic to see strangers swinging their hips at his karaoke night again.“There was full-on conga line to Harry Belafonte’s ‘Jump in the Line.’ Every every single patron got in,” Sigsby said. “We had a two-hour wait to get in outside. It’s crazy that karaoke survived a year of lockdown and we’re now having our busiest nights ever.”Sigsby runs Hi Ho Karaoke, a roving DJ and hosting outfit that brings one of SoCal’s cherished late-night…

‘My karaoke song? Pure & Simple by Hear’Say, because I wrote it!’: Betty Boo’s honest playlist | Music

The first song I remember hearingMy dad would constantly play Rock Around the Clock by Bill Haley, because he played the guitar. So my fascination with music started with rock’n’roll. The first single I boughtI would go down to WH Smith at Hammersmith to buy all my stationery for school. I had a little bit more pocket money one week and I bought Don’t Stop ’Til You Get Enough by Michael Jackson. My dad was a train driver on the Central line, and that same week, he found a 45 single of Pop Muzik by M in an Our Price bag. So…

Saregama Carvaan Karaoke Review: Pre-Loaded Songs and the Ability to Sing Along

Launched in 2017, the original Saregama Carvaan was a wireless speaker unlike anything else available in the segment. With its own built-in tracks focused on Saregama's vast repository of retro Indian music, the Carvaan was innovative, unique, and incredibly easy to use. Later Carvaan models have added features such as a battery for portability and Wi-Fi connectivity to stream podcasts. However, the core experience remains focused on ease of use, and quick access to music that appeals to older Indian audiences.Saregama's…
