Murena launches ‘deGoogled’ smartphone with a kill switch for privacy

The Murena 2, a “deGoogled” smartphone with a kill switch, has finally launched in Europe. Billed as a privacy-centric disruptor to the Apple-Google mobile duopoly, the device is the second handset from French startup Murena.  One new addition to the Murena 2 is a physical privacy button, which instantly disables the microphone and camera. To reactivate them for a video call, users just need to flick the switch again. On the other side of the handset is another button — a disconnection switch.…

Kill The Justice League’ accidentally leaks upcoming villain

A voice actor from Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League has accidently leaked an upcoming playable character from the game. As spotted by PC Gamer, a clip of a player getting knocked down and needing to be revived on Reddit features Brainiac (who, at the end of the game, talks to the players in lieu of any of the brainwashed heroes) insulting Harley Quinn but using the wrong name. “I didn’t expect you to be the weak link in this chain, Freeze,” Brainiac says in the clip. It’s likely that the villain is speaking about…

The Federal Communication Commission (FCC) identified Lingo Telecom, a Texas-based wireless provider, as the company that transmitted deepfake robocalls impersonating President Biden. The FCC sent the company a cease and desist letter, according to a press release sent to Gizmodo Tuesday, threatening to permanently block Lingo’s operations.Bruce Willis is Keeping His Face“Lingo Telecom, LLC is apparently originating illegal robocall traffic,” said the FCC in its cease and desist letter. “Failure to comply with the steps…

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League review: a generic looter shooter

A chaotic sludge of information covers the screen, with detonating colors, words, and numbers flying everywhere — button prompts ping the sides, explosions drown out the voices of team members and mission givers. This was my kaleidoscopic experience playing Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the latest game from the otherwise incredible Rocksteady Studios, creators of the intricately designed Batman: Arkham games.Acting as a follow-up in the same universe, Suicide Squad sees you take control of the titular squad of a…

Watch SZA Perform ‘Snooze,’ ‘Kill Bill’ at the 2024 Grammys

This year's most nominated artist tore through the SOS hits "Snooze" and "Kill Bill" Grammy night’s most nominated artist this year has arrived: SZA brought “Snooze” and “Kill Bill” to the 2024 awards ceremony. Performing at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, the artist appeared onstage in a black hat and matching leather trench coat, backed by dumpsters full of fire and vintage trash cans. She slashed a dude looming behind her as “Snooze” wrapped, the perfect signal for “Kill Bill.” As

Kill the Justice League – Destructoid

In theory, a game based around the Suicide Squad should be great, as you’d get to see DC’s world differently. That is not what Rocksteady’s latest game, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, has been.  I am struggling through a string of frustrating moments that feel repetitive and dated. I’m about three to four hours into the game, and I think I’ve seen everything it has to offer already.  I may be disastrously wrong, of course, and things could do a full 180-degree turn 5 hours in. Nevertheless, if this is the nature…

Which character should you pick in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League?

Each playable member in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is its own distinct character. Beyond the obvious visual differences, there’s a good amount of mechanical differences that make playing as Harley a unique experience compared to King Shark, for example. If you’re playing alone or with friends, you probably will want to focus on just one member of the team to learn and go through the story with first. Since these “heroes” aren’t all that common, especially in the world of video games, it isn’t immediately…
