LG’s OLED Flex TV will bend to your will

LG’s OLED Flex is the world’s first bendable 42in OLED TV giving consumers the best of both flat and curved worlds.  The LX3, going by its model name alone, isn’t the first bendy TV – in fact, we saw one from Samsung way back in 2014 – but this is something quite different. For starters, it’s an OLED panel whereas other flexible TV screens are typically LCD. Secondly, it’s a more manageable 42in size.  The OLED Flex can transform from a flat panel to a 900R curve (an extreme amount of curvature when a typical…

LG’s OLED Flex is a flat panel and a curved display in one

A few days ago, Corsair introduced a 45-inch display called Xeneon Flex with a panel made by LG that you can bend to switch between a flat and a curved screen. Turns out LG also developed a bendable monitor model of its own. The Korean company has just unveiled the LG OLED Flex or LX3, a 42-inch screen that you can manually adjust until it reaches a curvature of 900R. To note, Corsair's has a max curvature of 800R, and a smaller number means the monitor's curve is more pronounced.  You can quickly adjust the Flex's…

LG’s first bendable OLED TV lets you pick between flat or curved modes

LG has announced its first bendable OLED TV which works either completely flat or as a curved display. The LG OLED Flex (model LX3) is a 42-inch OLED TV that bends into a curved (900R) TV thanks to LG’s latest display technology. Curved displays are suited for a more immersive gaming experience, while flat screens are better for watching TV broadcasts or streaming services. LG OLED Flex owners can automatically bend and adjust the TV into its curved mode using a dedicated button on the TV remote. (As opposed to some…

Calling all sneakerheads – add LG’s ShoeCare to your wishlist

There are people for whom a shoe is just a thing that stops feet from interfacing with dog mess, broken glass, and puddles, and there are people for whom a shoe is an object of desire. For those in the latter camp – the sneakerheads, the Manolo Blahnik fanatiks – I give you the LG Styler ShoeCare. What the original Styler does for clothing, the Styler ShoeCare aims to do for footwear. In case you’ve forgotten, or never knew in the first place, the original LG Styler is a steam closet. It freshens up clothes between…

LG’s huge 97in OLED TV will actually go on sale

LG’s flagship G2 OLED TV is an exceptional piece of technology and although the biggest 97in model will be far too big for most people, it’s about to go on sale.  Often models like this are merely made to show off what’s possible at trade shows and the like, but LG will actually sell you this humongous television if you’ve got the space for it and a bank balance to match.  The 97G2 is the world’s biggest OLED TV and so it’s not a surprise that it will set you back a sizeable sum. And that is… a whopping €25,000…

LG’s latest OLED monitor has a super-quick 240Hz refresh rate

LG has announced a new 45-inch ultrawide OLED gaming monitor with a refresh rate of 240Hz. The company is calling the UltraGear 45GR95QE its “first curved OLED display with a 240Hz refresh rate,” which is notable at a time when most OLED displays (including those with flat panels) are still capped at 120Hz. The company is yet to announce pricing or a release date for the monitor, but plans to show it off at IFA in Berlin next month. Having a higher refresh rate means a display appears smoother and less juddery, and…

LG’s new OLED gaming monitor packs a 240Hz refresh rate

LG could have two of the best new monitors on its hands. Its UltraGear OLED gaming monitor and UltraFine Display Ergo AI are coming soon, and the brand will showcase at IFA 2022 in Berlin, Germany in early September. Both curved displays introduce new technologies to LG’s consumer lines and provide unique experiences for users. The UltraGear OLED gaming monitor, model 45GR95QE, is the brand’s first OLED display featuring a 240Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the LG UltraFine Display Ergo AI, model 32UQ890, is able to…

LG’s air purifier table is the latest smart home hybrid – but Ikea was first

LG has just announced the launch of a “table type” air purifier that’ll be showcased at IFA this year. It’s a follow-up to the PuriCare AeroTower, a bladeless fan, air purifier and competitor to Dyson’s range of similar products. The new release is called the PuriCare Objet Collection Aero Furniture. From the name alone, you can tell we’re in for a wild ride. Not content with merging the functions of an air purifier and fan in the AeroTower – which makes a lot of sense, given that you might as well clean your air…

LG’s T90 earbuds come with Dolby Head Tracking technology

LG has launched its Tone Free wireless earbud lineup for 2022, and the new flagship model comes with built-in equalizer and support for Dolby's Head Tracking technology. Similar to Samsung's Galaxy Buds Pro, which also has Dolby's 360 audio feature, the T90 has the capability to recalibrate sounds as you move your head to make it appear as if they're truly coming from all around you. LG says the T90s are also the first earbuds to feature an audio virtualizer that Dolby designed for the form factor in order to expand its…

LG‘s latest earbuds include head-tracking spatial audio

LG is today announcing two new sets of wireless earbuds. First up are the Tone Free T90 buds, which now become the company’s flagship pair. They still have the signature bacteria-killing UVnano charging case. And like the previous Tone Free FP9, the case can also double as a Bluetooth transmitter, letting you run an aux cable to devices that might lack wireless connectivity — like a treadmill — and still use the earbuds like normal. According to LG’s press release, the noise-canceling T90s have “a new internal…
