Denver’s Ironton Distillery will move to Louisville by 2026

A Denver distillery is relocating operations to the suburbs, and when it does it will close its taproom and restaurant in the city. Ironton Distillery & Crafthouse, which opened in the River North Arts District in 2018, will soon break ground on a brand new production facility located at 1303 Empire Rd. in Louisville. Six companies notify state that they plan layoffs

A half dozen companies operating in the state informed the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment of their layoff plans as January came to a close. In total, the companies are letting go of 378 workers up and down the Front Range, from Fort Collins to Pueblo, according to Worker Readjustment and Retraining Notification Act notices filed with the state between Jan. 25 and Jan. 31. Xcel Energy Colorado expands use of AI in wildfire prevention

Xcel Energy Colorado, which expects to spend about $180 million on wildfire prevention this year, is adding artificial intelligence to its arsenal to fight what has become a year-round battle. Xcel is expanding its work with Pano AI, a San Francisco-based company that will install 21 camera systems by the end of the year on more than 1.5 million acres across the utility’s territory. 4 killed in shooting at Louisville bank building, police say

LOUISVILLE, Ky. —  A shooting Monday at a bank building in downtown Louisville killed at least four people and wounded at least eight others, police said. Westbound & Down Brewing leases warehouse in Louisville

Idaho Springs brewpub Westbound & Down has leased a new warehouse in Louisville to bring customers more beer. The brewery is moving its supply to the 4,907-square-feet space at 1849 Cherry Street for added cooler space, storage and meeting areas. Jake Gardner, director of brewing for Westbound, said the company hopes to be fully moved in by June — just in time for peak beer season. “This will be focused on keeping a wider variety of beers available,” Gardner said. “We have more space, and we can make more beer.”…
