I’ve been using iPhone travel app Wanderlog to plan the perfect NYC trip — and now I’ll never go on vacation without it ever…

There are very few third-party apps that deserve to keep a long-term spot on your iPhone’s Home Screen, but Wanderlog, the best travel app I’ve ever used, has become a necessity for planning my next trip. With a huge birthday celebration focused around New York City’s pizza on the horizon, Wanderlog has turned my iPhone 15 Pro Max into the perfect travel companion that allows my partner and I to collaborate in real-time as we set out to make our itinerary. As someone who is incredibly disorganized and loves to just go…

Dave Grohl Covers Paul McCartney’s Live and Let Die at Love Rocks NYC

Dave Grohl paid tribute to his one-time Nirvana bandmate Paul McCartney (technically, it’s true!) with a rendition of “Live and Let Die” at the Love Rocks NYC benefit concert Thursday night, March 7.  The Foo Fighters frontman gave a characteristically full-throated performance of McCartney’s hit 1973 James Bond theme song. Though he strained a bit to hit some of the high notes during the ballad-y sections and left the “You know you did” refrain to the backing vocalists, he attacked the hard rock portions the way…

Ray wants truckers to stop deliveries to the city in the wake of a New York court ruling ordering the former president to pay $355 million in damages after he and the Trump Organization were found liable for committing financial fraud. And Trump supports their efforts.…

NYC suing social media companies for effects on youth mental health

New York Mayor Eric Adams (D) announced Wednesday a lawsuit targeting five major social media platforms, alleging the companies that host the platforms are responsible for “fueling the nationwide youth mental health crisis.” The lawsuit, filed in California by the City of New York, seeks accountability from the companies behind five major platforms: Meta’s Facebook and Instagram, Snap’s Snapchat, ByteDance’s TikTok, and Google’s YouTube. “Over the past decade, we have seen just how addictive and…

NYC ends trial run of Times Square subway’s security robot

New Yorkers can say goodbye — for now — to the robot the New York Police Department (NYPD) used to patrol the Times Square subway station. The Knightscope K5, which is a 400-pound machine that looks like it could be R2-D2's massive sibling, was one of Mayor Eric Adams' high-tech experiments for New York City. It was deployed in a pilot last year ostensibly to help keep commuters safe, but it had no actual capabilities that could be useful in situations that had to be addressed on site. "The K5 Knightscope has completed…

Zendaya Helped Timothée Chalamet Furnish His ‘Teenage Boy’ NYC Apartment And Kylie Jenner Is No Doubt Grateful

It looks like Timothée Chalamet isn't just taking fashion cues from Zendaya, his exceedingly stylish Dune: Part Two co-star—the actress has apparently been giving him interior design help, too. Timothée, Zendaya and their fellow Dune castmates, Arrakis newcomers Florence Pugh (who plays Princess Irulan) and Austin Butler (taking on the terrifying role of Feyd-Rautha), appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday, February 1 to promote the much-anticipated sci-fi sequel.  During the chat, Chalamet confirmed to Kimmel that he…

DoorDash increases NYC delivery fees following new minimum wage rules

DoorDash customers in NYC will notice a new fee tacked onto their bill when they purchase food for delivery through the app. The company has started charging users $2 more for deliveries in NYC as a response to the city's new minimum wage law, a spokesperson has confirmed to Business Insider. It warned users back in December that the new minimum pay rate, which it called "ill-conceived" and "extreme," will have "significant consequences for everyone" who uses its platform and will "force to raise fees for orders." Other…
