Shazam! Fury of the Gods’ first trailer introduces a delightful villain

Shazam! brought a lighthearted tone to DC’s theatrical run when it debuted in 2019, and the sequel looks to do much the same later this year — at least if the debut trailer is anything to go by. It’s called Shazam! Fury of the Gods, and at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, DC revealed a first look at the superhero adventure. It starts off with the titular star (Zachary Levi) having some confidence issues (seriously, who can compete with Aquaman?) and espousing his love for the Fast and the Furious, before revealing a…

Fury of the Gods is coming our way earlier than expected, with its original summer 2023 release shifted forward to this Christmas. While the 2018 origins movie for Zachary Levi’s aged-up hero wasn’t exactly the biggest superhero smash ever made, it pleased a lot of fans by being the perfect counterpart to the darker side of the DCEU. Now, this first trailer for its follow-up…

‘Black Adam’ Director Warns Not to Expect Superman or Shazam

via DC Films Ever since Black Adam finally escaped from almost 15 years lodged firmly in development hell to make it into production, we’ve been hearing constant rumors claiming that either Henry Cavill’s Superman or Zachary Levi’s Shazam were being lined up for cameo appearances in the DCEU blockbuster. For a number of reasons, both of them make an equal amount of sense. The Big Blue Boy Scout has a power level comparable to Dwayne Johnson’s antihero, Cavill’s manager Dany Garcia also happens to be The Rock’s…

Thundercrack, a new middle grade graphic novel due out in November. The Big Red Cheese’s newest adventure, set in the continuity of the 2019 movie, comes from cartoonist Yehudi Mercado.
