Tears of the Kingdom Great Sky Island tutorial

Exploring the Great Sky Island in Tear of the Kingdom makes for one of the coolest openings in a Zelda game, but that doesn’t stop some of us from wanting to escape it.  Normally you have to play through the entirety of the Great Sky Island area to make your way to the mainland of Hyrule, but glitch hunters and Tears of the Kingdom speedrunners have been trying to find a way around that requirement since the game was released. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtCyWiOd1n8 A YouTuber called Timber posted a lengthy video…

Diamonds Could Be Raining From The Sky on Far More Planets Than We Realized : ScienceAlert

If it were ever possible to take a flight through the extreme conditions of Neptune's atmosphere, we might experience the fascinating phenomenon of diamond rain tapping at our window.According to a new study by an international team of researchers, such a blizzard of bling could be relatively common throughout the Universe.Carbon can link into a crystal on giant, icy gas planets like Neptune and Uranus because of the ultra-high temperatures and pressures deep down in the atmosphere. These conditions break up hydrocarbons…

Uncertainty abounds in seeding the sky to fight climate change, says study

Zonal mean of 10 years averaged total ozone column depletion resulting from injection of 5 Mt/yr of alumina particles assuming different parameterizations of R1 or alumina particles to be covered with sulfuric acid ("H2SO4 coating") simulated with SOCOL-AER under (a) 2020 and (b) 2090 ozone depleting substances and greenhouse gas conditions. For comparison we also show an SO2 injection scenario with equal injection rates as for the alumina injection…

What Could Be The Earliest Map of The Sky Contains a Mystery Star : ScienceAlert

You know how some constellations take a little bit of imagination to see? Yes, Leo looks a bit like a lion and Orion a bit like a hunter but then we drift into the realms of powerful levels of imagination to be able to see Pegasus as a flying horse or Telescopium as a telescope!Even squinting or tilting your head really doesn't make them visible. I found the same problem when looking at images of two stone disks discovered in Italy recently at the entrance to an ancient fort!Teams that have examined the stones have…

Sky News presenter criticised for insulting 13-year-old who “beat” ‘Tetris’

Sky News presenter Jayne Secker has been criticised for her negative reaction to a 13-year-old boy setting an historic Tetris record. Earlier this week, Willis Gibson from Oklahoma became the first known person to “beat” the original NES version of the game, reaching such a high level that it caused it freeze. For the first time since Tetris was released in 1985, the game crashed at level 157, after Willis cleared 1,511 lines in just 38 minutes. You can watch him achieve the feat and his subsequent reaction below.…
