Colorado taxpayers will receive $800 refund on state income taxes

Coloradan taxpayers can each expect an extra $800 back when they file their state income tax returns early next year, state officials said Wednesday. The refund is based on revenue collected above the cap set by the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights, or TABOR, the state constitutional amendment passed by voters in 1992 to limit the growth of government. The new flexible space, dubbed the Bluebird Ballroom, comes with an outdoor terrace.…

They either relocated to the state or boosted hiring after receiving assistance from Job Growth Incentive Tax Credit program, which the General Assembly approved in response to the Great Recession, which cost the state 137,600 jobs in 2008 and 2009. From the first award in 2009 through this summer, employers have contracted to provide up…

French startup Indy has recently closed a new funding round of $44 million (€40 million) with BlackFin Capital Partners leading the round. Indy started as an automated accounting platform for freelancers and other self-employed people. But the company has been slowly iterating on its product to become an all-in-one platform for freelancers, from accounting to company creation, tax preparation, invoicing and (soon) business banking. It’s an interesting example of the positive effects of bundling in a…

The House and Senate both reconvened shortly after 10 a.m.. Together they have five bills scheduled for final floor votes and, if needed, discussions to reconcile details between the versions passed by each chamber.
