Tecno Pova 6 Pro review

Introduction and specs The Tecno Pova 5 Pro was released only six months ago, so the Tecno Pova 6 Pro should be a minor refresh of its predecessor. However, as the name implies, there's much more to it. The Tecno Pova 6 Pro brings a handful of generational upgrades across all departments - display, battery, charging, memory and camera. It also retains relatively the same price if you equate it for storage since the Pova 6 Pro offers 256GB by default while the Pova 5 Pro launched with a 128GB base…

Tecno Pova 6 Pro battery life test

The Tecno Pova 6 Pro's battery test is ready and it brings good news. The mid-ranger achieved an excellent Active Use Score of 13:26h, a notable improvement on most of its direct rivals. It manages to put its bigger-than-usual 6,000 mAh battery to good use, powering the Dimensity 6080 SoC and large 6.78-inch FHD+ display for a good while before you need to plug in your charger. The Pova 6 Pro outpace its competitors in web browsing, video playback and phone calls, but the largely underwhelming gaming runtime brings…

Weekly poll results: Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Tecno Camon 30 Premier and Samsung Galaxy Ring are the highlights of MWC 2024

Some of the devices that were introduced during the week of MWC 2024 will go on to be the most influential this year, though others didn’t warrant more than a quick look. Here are the best devices of MWC 2024 according to you. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra dominated the flagship category – it received over half the votes and more than double the votes of the second place phone. It sure is expensive, but so were most of the other entries in this category, and this one promises camera excellence that people are willing to pay for.…

Tecno stuffed a gaming PC inside a controller and I’m impressed

If you ask me my favourite handheld portable gaming machine I would say PS Vita in a heartbeat. The console was underpowered for sure, but it launched with an OLED display, had a very good library of games and was super ergonomic to use. While we have devices like the Steam Deck, ROG Ally (review), Legion Go and more available today, my go-to portable console is the Nintendo Switch for its exclusive library and lighter-weight design when compared to its peers. Sure, it isn’t as powerful as the Windows-powered handhelds…

Price, specs, and release date

I wasn’t thrilled with the AR glasses I tried at MWC last year. I said at the time that everyone designing these devices could only offer tethered experiences. I also said that the industry was waiting for Apple to lead the way with its own AR device. Fast-forward to MWC 2024, and the Apple Vision Pro is now out in the US. It’s leading the way, and I expect more spatial computers to launch in the coming years as Apple perfects the Vision Pro and irons out the various issues that early adopters have highlighted.…
