While many Tata cars are on the top of the list of safe cars, many owners often complain about the quality of the products. Here is an owner of Tata Nexon EV who shared his experience with the car. He claims that the accelerator pedal of the Tata Nexon EV broke while he was driving the car.

Ankit Sondhi shared his experience on Twitter and shared that the accelerator pedal simply came off while he was driving around. In the replies, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility asked for details but there is no further information available on the same.

The owner shared the picture of the accelerator pedal that came off. It looks like that the pedal came off the attachment. The owner did not report about a stuck accelerator, which could have been extremely dangerous. There is nothing much you can do in such situations or prevent such incidents. All this comes down to the quality of the car.
One should note that Global NCAP safety ratings only check the vehicle’s ability to absorb the impact and keep the passengers safe. It does not mean a high quality product.

The Tata Nexon EV is currently available in three distinct variants: XM, XZ Plus, and XZ Plus Lux. All three variants feature a front-wheel-drive configuration, with an electric motor positioned at the front. This electric motor generates a maximum power output of 129 PS and a maximum torque of 245 Nm. Additionally, these variants are equipped with a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery, providing a claimed driving range of 312 km and requiring approximately 8.5 hours for a full charge.
The prices for the Tata Nexon EV range from Rs 14.29 lakh to Rs 16.70 lakh. The top-spec XZ Plus and XZ Plus Lux variants also offer an optional ‘Black Edition’ at an additional cost of approximately Rs 20,000 over the respective standard variants.
Tata recently introduced the new Nexon EV Max, which offers an extended range. This updated model features a larger battery and is capable of achieving a claimed range of 437 km. Additionally, Tata also offers the Tigor EV in the Indian market.
