Tata Safari Owner Drives Over Speed Breaker At 85 Kmph: Questions SUV Quality After Engine Mount Breaks

0 25

Tata Motors and its vehicles have lately been in the news for various reasons. While we have a section of happy customers who share their experience about the build quality and safety of the vehicles, there are others who are suffering with aftersales and service. Many customers have been facing issues related to paint quality, fit and finish, and technology. Here we have another incident where a Tata Safari owner, who drove over a speedbreaker at 85 km/h, questions the build quality of the SUV after the engine mount breaks.

The owner of the SUV shared the incident on his profile with images. The customer, Akash Malviya, posted images of his Tata Safari with a caption, “the premium Tata Safari engine mounting breaks midway on a highway, commendable build quality @TataMotors please help.” The comment section of this video explains what exactly happened to the SUV. He mentions that he was driving on the Mumbai-Agra highway when he came across a speedbreaker. The driver probably didn’t see the speedbreaker or was probably not expecting it. He simply drove over the speedbreaker at 85 km/h.

The car driver mentions it in the comment section that it is really frustrating. We are not sure if Tata Motors has resolved the issue or not. The SUV seen here in the video is the pre-facelift version of Tata Safari. The exact location and how the accident happened are not clear. It is also not clear whether the customer realized the issue with the vehicle almost immediately or did he continue driving. Whatever the case may be, in the image that the owner has shared, it looks like the SUV is parked in the parking area of a workshop and we can also see an Altroz next to it.

The first image clearly shows the engine mount broken. One of the social media users commented under the post, “This is the reason I always say that Harrier and Safari are nothing less than a scam.” Another user was actually surprised to know that the owner drove over the speedbreaker at 85 km/h. Tata Motors, as a manufacturer, is known for making sturdy vehicles. There have been several instances where people have gotten into major accidents and have survived with minor injuries only because of the solid build quality.

As of now, we do not have much information related to the details about the incident, but we wish Tata gets to the root of this issue and helps the customer. While driving on Indian roads, one has to be extremely careful. Hitting a speedbreaker on our roads, especially at a speed like 85 km/h, can be extremely dangerous and chances of damaging the vehicle are also high. An SUV like Safari with a higher center of gravity can easily lose balance.  The owner was probably lucky to have escaped unhurt. Safari is currently one of the most popular SUVs in its segment. The SUV recently received an update in terms of features and design. The Safari competes with cars like Mahindra XUV700 in the segment. At Bharat NCAP, the facelifted version of Safari got a 5-star rating.
