0 19

The build quality of a vehicle is a factor that many people, including first-time car buyers, have been considering lately. Indian car brands like Tata Motors are popular among buyers for the same reason. We have come across several incidents in the past where people who own Tata cars have walked away from major accidents without any injuries. One reason they were safe was luck, but another reason is the build quality. Here is one such incident from Maharashtra where an overloaded Tata Tiago lost control and fell off a bridge. All six occupants in the car survived without any injuries at all.

The video has been shared by Nikhil Rana on his YouTube channel. The owner shared images of his accident with the vlogger and explained what exactly happened. The owner mentions that he and his five brothers were traveling in the Tiago through the Chikhaldara forest area. It was raining, and the driver of the car forgot to spot a turn on time. As the car was overloaded, he probably lost control, and the hatchback fell off a small bridge.

There was a small stream flowing under the bridge, and the car actually fell upside down next to the rocky bed of the stream. It is not clear if the car was being driven at high speeds or if he crashed the car due to poor visibility. The car fell upside down, as seen in the images here. We can also see that all four wheels of the car are missing.

The front of the car is completely damaged. The bonnet and bumper are damaged. Similarly, the pillars and the roof of the car are also damaged from the fall. The occupants in the car were extremely lucky to have escaped without any injuries. The owner mentions that his Tiago was a 2019 model and it didn’t come with airbags. The condition of the car looks pathetic, but it managed to keep the occupants safe. The owner mentions that he is extremely happy about the build quality of the vehicle, and if it were not for the build quality, he and his brothers might not have been alive. He even thanked Tata Motors for making a small and sturdy hatchback. In this case, we feel the owner and occupants were extremely lucky, and it was not just the build quality that allowed them to simply walk away from the crash. The car was lifted using a crane, as seen here in the pictures.

Driving during rain is risky. One has to be extremely careful about the surroundings and also keep an eye out for any obstacles or potholes on the road. In this case, the driver failed to notice a turn. He was probably distracted as he was with his brothers. There have been several cases where cars have lost traction on wet roads and have crashed or fallen off the road. The Tata Tiago is the most affordable or entry-level model from Tata in the Indian market, and even this model scored a 4-star rating in the Global NCAP a few years ago.
