Tata Unveils Production-Ready Tata Curvv SUV at Bharat Mobility Global Expo

0 25

Tata unveiled a production-ready version of its upcoming SUV, the Tata Curvv, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in Delhi today. The Curvv concept was showcased by the Indian manufacturer last year, and soon after that, we started seeing test mules of the same. Several videos of fully camouflaged Tata Curvv SUVs have been circulating on the internet. Tata is extensively testing the new SUV, and now we have a video of an almost production-ready version of the Curvv that shows how the SUV would look on the outside.

The video has been shared by Bunny Punia on his YouTube channel. It shows how the production-ready version of the Tata Curvv SUV would look. One thing that attracted many when Tata showcased the Curvv concept was its styling. It came with a coupe-like design at the rear, and the same has been retained in the production version too. Coming to the video, the front fascia of the Curvv looks similar to the recently launched Tata Harrier and Safari. It comes with the same connecting LED bar at the front with dual-function LED DRLs on both ends. The gloss black front grille has vents on the lower part along with a silver foil finish.

The Curvv comes with headlamps on the bumper, and the car also gets a lower air dam with a silver foil finish. The car gets a faux skid plate at the front, and it also comes with gloss black elements around the wheel arch and side running board. The car is expected to come with features like a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, and maybe even ADAS like Harrier and Safari. Coming to the side profile, the video reveals the coupe-like sloping roof and other elements of the SUV. The car gets flush-fitting door handles with request sensors and 18-inch alloy wheels. The design of the wheels is different from the ones seen on any Tata model to date.

At the rear, the design gets a lot more sophisticated. It has a connected light bar at the rear, and the light bar meets the sleeker-looking boomerang-shaped LED tail lamps. The reflectors and reverse lamps are placed on the bumper like Nexon. We see a Curvv badge on the tailgate, and there is a shark fin antenna, roof-mounted spoiler, and a panoramic sunroof on this SUV too. The interior of the SUV is not clearly visible here; however, we can see Tata’s new floating-type infotainment system on the dashboard with brown-colored leather upholstery. The Tata Curvv seen here is 4,308 mm long, 1,810 mm wide, and 1,630 mm tall. The car has a wheelbase of 2560 mm, and the boot space is said to be 422 liters.

The production-ready version of the Curvv showcased in the video is the diesel version. Tata had mentioned that the electric version of the Curvv would be launched in the market first. The ICE version of the same would follow after that. The one seen here is the diesel version, which uses the 1.5-liter turbocharged, 4-cylinder engine. This engine generates 115 PS and 260 Nm of peak torque. It will be offered with a manual gearbox.
