0 39

Taking a two-wheel-drive car to places like Ladakh has become very common in the country. However, people forget that these vehicles are not good enough to drive on hilly off-road terrains. There is a lot of risk of getting stuck and becoming stranded. But despite this, people do things like it and then learn from their mistakes. Recently, a video of a Mahindra Scorpio-N 4X2 getting stuck on a small bump near a river has been shared online. The video shows why a 4X4 vehicle is the one to have in such situations.

Mahindra Scorpio-N gets stuck

The video of this Mahindra Scorpio-N getting stuck beside a river has been shared on YouTube by Arun Panwar on their channel. It starts off with the vlogger mentioning that they were traveling on the road when they saw a river. He then added that they wanted to spend some time beside it, but to do that, they had to cross a small obstacle. What happened then was their vehicle got stuck in a ditch, and they got stranded.

Soon after this, the vlogger, along with his friends, tried to maneuver their way out of this ditch. However, the Scorpio-N, being a 4X2 variant, could not come out. Following their attempts, they thought of asking people in vehicles passing by. However, the vlogger mentioned that as the place was very remote, there were not a lot of vehicles. They first asked a Maruti Baleno hatchback driver for help, but he could not do anything. So, they then started looking for help.

Mahindra Thar 4X4 comes to the rescue

After a while, a Mahindra Thar 4X4 driver, along with his friends, was seen passing by the road and was asked to help. He agreed and came to the rescue. The friends of the vlogger went to a nearby village and asked a local man to accompany them with a rope. Following this, they came back with a rope, tied the Scorpio-N with the Thar 4X4 in 4 low mode. Immediately, the Mahindra Thar was able to drag out the Scorpio-N.

The vlogger mentioned that the local resident who brought a rope with him was offered Rs 300 for the help by providing the rope. However, the presenter then added that the local wanted Rs 2,000 just for bringing the rope. After they denied and offered him to pay Rs 300, he rejected their offer and went back home.

This video is the perfect example of why a 4X4 vehicle is required in such terrains. He added that the front two wheels were on the ground, which could have cleared the obstacle if it had a 4X4 system. However, because of its absence, they were stuck. Also, he added that if there is no recovery vehicle, people should not attempt to take on such types of obstacles.
