The specs for the Moto G53 and G73 are now official

Starting off with the Moto G53, the specs for this phone are what you’d expect from a 2023 mid-ranger. It has a large 6.5-inch display that, unfortunately, sports a 720p+ resolution (1600 x 720). However, this display has a refresh rate of 120Hz. It’s an LCD display, but Motorola makes respectable LCD displays.

As for the internals, we’re looking at the Qualcomm 480+ SoC accompanied by the Adreno 619. This is backed up by 4GB/6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage. So, the performance won’t be top-notch, but it will be more than enough to handle your daily tasks. Also, that’s enough storage to download a ton of apps. Also, you can add a micro SD card of up to 1TB.

As for the camera, we’re looking at a 50MP main camera accompanied by a 2MP macro camera. Up front is an 8MP selfie camera.

Looking at the Moto G73, the specs are obviously more robust. This phone has the same size display as the G53, but it’s more pixel-packed with a 1080p+ resolution (2400 x 1080). As for the internals, the Moto G73  uses the MediaTek Dimensity 930 SoC. That’s backed up by 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage. So, you’re getting more power and storage with this variant.

It seems that this phone uses the same 50MP main camera, but the macro camera gets a boost to 8MP. The selfie also got a boost to 16MP. Also, both phones come with a large 5,000mAh battery.

These phones are currently rolling out for select Latin American countries, but the price and availability for the US are still unknown.
