The Pixel 7 Pro’s Display Has Some Scrolling Issues

0 48

The Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are the company’s latest flagship smartphones, and they’ve been getting a lot of positive energy. However, not all is perfect. Some users are reporting weird scrolling issues with the display for the Pixel 7 Pro.

This isn’t the only display issue that the Pixel 7 Pro is experiencing. It appears that this display is burning through a lot more energy than other phones at a similar brightness. The screen actually burns more energy than the Pixel 6 Pro’s display. It also burns about 50% more power than the Galaxy S22+’s display at the same brightness.

The Pixel 7 Pro’s display has some scrolling issues.

According to Android Police, people are taking to Reddit to explain the issues that they’re having with their handsets. People are reporting inconsistent scrolling with their phones. Sometimes, while scrolling, the screen would barely move at all. Other times, it would scroll extremely fast.

One user gave an example of scrolling left to right using Instagram. In order to go to the next image, the user would have to swipe their finger across the screen multiple times. However, we know that this usually just takes a simple flick.

Another user reported that while scrolling through a document, one flick would scroll multiple pages at a time. Other times, that wouldn’t happen.

We’re not sure if this is a software or a hardware issue. Hopefully, it’s the former. The Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro have been pretty well-received devices. It would be a shame for this phone to have a major hardware flaw at launch. The Pixel 6 phones were plagued by numerous software bugs that muddied the release.

We’re still waiting for Google to address these issues. Let’s just hope that the company won’t tell us that we’re scrolling wrong.

If you’re interested in picking up a Pixel 7 or Pixel 7 Pro, they are available to purchase today. They use the same Google Tensor G2 chip and they bring notable software and hardware improvements over the last generation. What hasn’t changed is the price.
