The launch of Mahindra’s Scorpio-N Z4 variant has sparked a wave of enthusiasm among Scorpio enthusiasts across India. Within just 30 minutes of bookings opening, an astounding 100,000 reservations were made at the time of launch, with the majority being for the base Z2 and Z4 variants. Positioned as the second base model in the lineup, the Scorpio-N Z4 not only offers a winning combination of features but also serves as a canvas for customization, gaining immense popularity after the base Z2 variant. Recently, a video showcasing the remarkable transformation of the Z4 variant Scorpio-N into a captivating Mafia-inspired spec was shared on YouTube.

Garage 8427 has released a YouTube video showcasing their customized Mahindra Scorpio-N Z4 variant, which they claim to be the first one in the country to have a mafia spec. The entire vehicle has been elegantly blacked out, including window moldings, front grille components, and wheel covers. Notably, the front grille is equipped with blue and red lights, simulating illegal police lighting. The interior has also been upgraded with luxurious leather upholstery and carbon fiber accents. Although the video offers only a glimpse of the modifications, it can be noted that it has been maximally modified and looks extremely sinister.

Speaking specifically about the Scorpio-N Z4 variant, it stands out not only for its customization potential but also for its impressive performance. Customers can choose between a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.2-liter diesel engine, both offering a powerful driving experience. The petrol variant generates a maximum power of 203 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque, while the diesel engine delivers 175 bhp and 370 Nm of torque. Buyers have the choice of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission for the Z4 variant. Additionally, the diesel-manual iteration of the SUV provides the option of a four-wheel-drive system, enhancing its off-road capabilities.

In other Mahindra Scorpio-N news, the company recently announced a significant reduction in waiting times for some of its most popular models, slashing the wait by almost 4 months. The company has finally ramped up manufacturing of the Scorpio-N, the XUV700, and the Thar models after encountering various supply chain difficulties. Currently, there are five trim levels available for the Mahindra Scorpio-N: Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, and Z8L. The Z8 trim, which now commands a maximum waiting period of up to 13 months, has replaced the Z4 trim as the one with the longest waiting period, which was the case in May. With an expected 12-month waiting period, the Z4 trim is not far behind. Interestingly, the Z8L trim with the highest specifications has the shortest waiting period.
