The Maruti Suzuki Swift is India’s most popular hatchback and a favorite car for people to modify. Over the years, we have seen some of the wildest modified Swifts in the country, and this week, we have another customized Maruti Suzuki Swift that has been taken to the max. This particular Swift has been fitted with the long-anticipated Swift Sports aftermarket body kit and other additional mods to create a mean and menacing look.

The pictures of this particular Maruti Suzuki Swift have been shared on Mind Auto Mods’ official Instagram page. According to the post, this new Swift has been given the full Maruti Suzuki Swift Sport kit, which includes a much more aggressive front bumper, side skirting on both sides, and a rear bumper with dual exhaust ports. Additionally, the car also features an aggressive custom front splitter, and the fog lamps have been swapped for LED projector lights.

One of the most significant highlights of this modified Swift with Sports kit is its extremely beautiful-looking Nardo Grey wrap. Nardo Grey is an official paint code from the German automaker Audi. The front of this car also features a matt carbon fiber wrap on the bonnet, along with two fake air vents that are non-functional and there for aesthetic purposes.

Furthermore, the car is fitted with custom high-gloss black alloy wheels with “Yokohama” tire lettering finished in white, adding a sportier look. The car also features a replica Borla Valvotronic exhaust that can be switched on and off to adjust the volume of the exhaust. At the rear, it is fitted with a gigantic ABS rear spoiler.

It has been confirmed in the post that this particular car has only received aesthetic upgrades, and no modifications have been made towards the performance side of things. This implies that the hatchback gets the same 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that delivers 88.5 bhp and 113 Nm of torque.

It is essential to note that as cool as these modifications may look online or in real life, they are not legal in India. Car modifications in India are regulated by the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989. As per the rules, any modification that alters the original specifications of the vehicle is considered illegal unless it is approved by the relevant authorities.

In India, certain types of car modifications are allowed if they have been approved by the relevant authorities such as the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) or International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT). These modifications typically include fitting of CNG/LPG kits, installation of anti-lock braking systems, airbags, and other safety features.

However, modifications that alter the structure or performance of the vehicle, such as engine upgrades, suspension modifications, and alterations to the body shape or size, are generally considered illegal unless the modifications have been approved by the relevant authorities. Additionally, modifications that can affect the safety of the vehicle or other road users, such as tinted windows, LED lights, or modifications to the exhaust system, are also illegal. It is important to note that even if a modification is approved by the relevant authorities, it is still subject to inspection and approval by the local Regional Transport Office (RTO) before it can be deemed legal for use on public roads.
