by Market Trends December 2, 2022

Ed-tech platforms are a boon in times of uncertainty like the way they proved to be during the Pandemic. It has led to mushrooming of online education portals, so much so that it has become a maze for post-pandemic online learning seekers. Particularly, after the pandemic, there is an increasing trend of people wanting to switch jobs by updating their knowledge joining an online course. TimesPro is one online H.Ed.Tech platform where a learner can find a diverse set of courses to choose from, giving him the convenience to try different things at a time. Analytics Insight has engaged in an exclusive interview with Anish Srikrishna, CEO, TimesPro.

1. Kindly brief us about the company, its specialization, and the services that your company offers.

TimesPro is a learning company operating in the Higher EdTech or H.EdTech domain and we are engaged in improving the lives of our learners through learning enabled by technology. Being in H.EdTech, our efforts are focused on three key stakeholders, viz., learners, institutions, and industry.

From a learner perspective, TimesPro offers courses in technology, management, banking, logistics, and supply chain to name a few. We partner with some of the top institutes including several IIMs and IITs. TimesPro is committed to learner centricity and has therefore constantly invested in cutting-edge capabilities in learner experience platforms, assessment engines using AI, value-added tech-enabled services such as personalised coaching, and employability skills amongst others.

From an industry perspective, we foresee a need for a lot of talent with new-age skills to solve a gamut of real-life problems in critical areas like Healthcare, Telecommunication, and Mobility: TimesPro offers a range of options for employers including tech-enabled source-train-hire models via industry-academia partnerships. For enterprise customers, we offer complete managed training services in a range of general management and functional specialisations.

2. With what mission and objectives, the company was set up? In short, tell us about your journey since the inception of the company.

Incorporated in 2013, TimesPro’s vision is to make excellence in education affordable and accessible to learners across the country.

In the past decade, TimesPro has gone from strength to strength – from initial beginnings as an early career brand providing live face-to-face training to its current status as one of India’s pre-eminent H.Edtech brands.

TimesPro today touches the lives of over 2 million learners in the H.Ed Tech space in every possible adult demographic: from senior leadership to middle management to early career aspirants, TimesPro provides rich learning programs in leadership, functional upskilling, technology skills, early career training, corporate-funded training and govt funded training. Today, TimesPro is the go-to brand for all training needs spanning a wide spectrum of skills in technology, management, and sectoral specializations like banking, supply chain, etc.

3. Kindly share your point of view on the current scenario of Big Data Analytics and its future.

According to a report by Monster.com, Big Data Analytics is likely to be the most in-demand skill in 2022 with 96% of companies saying that they plan to hire new staff with relevant skills to fill future big data analytics-related roles. Organisations are relying heavily on Big Data Analytics to provide them with real-time analysis, enabling better-informed decisions and increased competitiveness.

A McKinsey report on data-driven enterprises suggests that in the future, the way data is generated, processed, analyzed, and visualized for end users will be dramatically transformed by new and more ubiquitous technologies for real-time analysis, leading to faster and more powerful insights

This dependency on individuals to analyse and interpret this data will be paramount. In a world where a skill’s “lifespan” has decreased from 30 to a mere five years, upskilling has become crucial to enable individuals to stay current, relevant, employable, and in demand.

4. Kindly mention some of the major challenges the company has faced till now.

A challenge in the field is that the learners are expected to not only be up-to-date in their domain but also have strong communication and problem-solving skills that are essential for working in a real-world environment. In the H.EdTech space, it is essential for companies like ours to have a finger on the pulse and develop programs that evolve with the needs of the industry.

Recruiters are actively looking for candidates that are job ready from the get-go so it’s our job to work with our partners to create state-of-the-art programs that equip our learners with skills to meet these evolving needs.

5. What is your biggest USP that differentiates the company from competitors?

TimesPro is the only brand that offers a full range of higher education and training solutions in India. We have impacted the lives of over 2 million learners and provided an effective employability solution to both employers as well as learners. We offer a whole range of the source, train, hire and upskill solution that gives the learner a life-long learning solution that they can keep coming back to.

6. How is upskilling in Big Data/Al evolving today in the industry? What are the most important trends that you see emerging across the globe?

Investment in AI technologies is predicted to become a $100 billion market by 2025 according to the Harvard Business Review survey, with companies taking a deep look at AI to add intelligence to everything from production operations to IT, finance, and even human resources.

In terms of global insight, Deloitte’s Global Human Capital Trends report found that while 81 percent of respondents expect the use of AI to increase or decrease significantly over the next three years, only 26 percent feel their organizations are ready or very ready to handle the impact of AI. Additionally, according to a Future Workplace report, research suggested that by 2031, 80% of new jobs will require AI-literate workers—and companies will face a shortage of such workers.

With the adoption of technologies like AI, and ML surging, at TimesPro we are focused on developing state-of-the-art courses that cover various in-demand skills in collaboration with premier national institutes like IIT Delhi, IIT Roorkee, IIM Kozhikode, and IIM Nagpur, to equip learners with the real-world skills needed to reduce the widening skill gap.

7. Please brief us about the products/services/solutions you provide to your customers and how they get value out of them.

As I’ve mentioned, TimesPro offers a variety of curated and customized solutions.

TimesPro works with most of the leading IITs and IIMS to provide Executive Education for working professionals. We work with Enterprise customers to ensure that their workforce is trained according to their L&D department’s needs. Our programs equip learners with real-world skills, making them invaluable to the organizations they are a part of. With regard to our employability programs, over 90% of our employability learners get placed giving them a pivotal kickstart7 to their careers.

8. What are your growth plans for the next 12 months?
