0 61

The month of May witnessed launches from major technology giants such as Google, Samsung, iQoo and Nokia. Interestingly, June will also be the same and set to witness launches from popular brands. Here are some of the upcoming smartphones expected to debut this month.

OnePlus Nord 3

The OnePlus Nord 3, expected to be released on June 21, 2023, has a similar counterpart called the OnePlus Ace 2V available in the Chinese market. While the Indian variant is likely to share most of its specifications, it might feature a different primary camera sensor.

In the Chinese version, the phone employs a compact OV64B 64MP sensor from Omnivision without optical image stabilization (OIS), accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a less significant 2MP camera. Nevertheless, the device shines in other areas, boasting a high-resolution 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a top-tier Dimensity 9000 SOC. These specifications appear impressive based on the available information.

The OnePlus Nord 3 is anticipated to run Oxygen OS 13 out of the box and will feature the signature OnePlus Alert Slider in its design. There is a possibility of three years of major OS updates as well.

iQOO Neo 7 Pro

iQOO incorporates comprehensive cooling systems, collaborates with game developers, and provides impressive software features tailored to gamers’ needs. Unlike other models in the same price range, the Neo 7 Pro also supports high frame rates in numerous games.

The base model is expected to offer either 128GB or 256GB of storage, with an anticipated price of 35,000. The specifications include a 120Hz AMOLED 1080P screen, a 1/1.57″ primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. The phone houses a 5000mAh battery and supports 120W fast wired charging.

The launch of this phone is expected around mid-June or towards the end of the month, with rumors suggesting a potential release date around June 20th.

Motorola Razr 40 Series

Moto has made an official announcement stating that the launch of these phones in India is imminent. Given their earlier release in international markets in May, we can expect these phones to become available in India sometime this month.

The Razr 40 is equipped with a 7th generation Snapdragon processor that has been reported to have significant heating issues, despite featuring a relatively large 4200 mAh battery. The phone boasts a 1.5-inch cover screen and a 144Hz 1080P display, with the cover screen limited to a 60Hz refresh rate. However, the camera hardware on this device is not particularly noteworthy.

The Razr 40 Ultra features a spacious 3.6-inch cover display with LTPO technology and a 144Hz refresh rate. The inner screen boasts a higher refresh rate of 165Hz and is accompanied by a smaller 3800 mAh battery. The key distinguishing factor between the two phones lies in the system-on-a-chip (SOC) they use, with the Ultra variant being powered by the 8+ Gen 1 SOC. The 8+ Gen 1 SOC, fabricated on a 4nm TSMC node, provides advantages in terms of performance and thermal management.

Considering Moto’s competitive pricing strategy in India, the Razr 40 is expected to have a starting price of approximately 60,000 INR, while the Ultra variant could go up to around 95,000. Although Motorola has not specified a specific launch date, it is assumed to be in the middle of June.

In addition to the Razr series, another upcoming phone called the Moto Edge 40 Pro is rumored to launch. It boasts a 165Hz 1080P screen, a robust camera setup consisting of a 50MP+12MP+50MP configuration, wireless charging, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, USB-C Type 3.2 connectivity, 4K video recording capability for the front camera, and IP68 water resistance. This device is expected to be positioned as a competitor to the OnePlus 11, with an estimated price tag of around 55,000.
