Twitter Inc. fires over 90% of its staff in India over the weekend as a part of its ongoing plans to retain revenue for the company. The company employed over 200 people in India, and the cuts left just about a dozen people. Around 70% of the job cuts were made in the product and engineering team which worked on a global mandate. Positions were also terminated from several other functions including marketing, public policy, and corporate communications.

Net-zero climate experts used the AI art generator tool called Midjourney to find out what major cities in the world would look like in the next 70 years from now if the climate goals are not properly met by government organizations. To reveal the potential circumstances of not meeting the climate goals, the green energy team collaborated with the research director of Oxford University’s Net Zero initiative to analyze emission data and its impact on global cities over the next decade.

Google AI launched a reincarnated reinforcement learning model that reuses prior computation to accelerate the progress of an ML model. The tabula rasa RL systems are unique since they can solve large-scale RL problems rather than simple norms. Even though the model is still insufficient in terms of computational ability as it cannot tackle computationally demanding problems, however, the team is already working on enhancing its efficiencies.

Solana’s price falls down to double digits, despite Google Cloud announcing that it would begin running a Solana validator, the token backing the speedy layer-1 blockchain has toppled down to double digits. The SOL token fell almost 12% within a period of 24 hours mainly because crypto investors have recently shifted their attention to the insolvency rumors of the crypto hedge fund Alameda Research.

After the launch of the Merge, the Ethereum co-founder Buterin added a new stage to the Ethereum development roadmap, one which aims to improve censorship resistance and decentralization to the Ethereum network.
