Toyota launched their globally popular pickup Hilux in India a few years ago. It was a much-awaited pickup among enthusiasts; however, due to steep pricing, many customers turned away. Toyota is now offering discounts for this pickup truck. As this is a globally popular model from Toyota, there are several modification options available for this truck. The video has been uploaded by Aayush Ssm on his YouTube channel. The car comes with several modifications. The vlogger starts with the exterior first. The first noticeable change here is the bumper. The stock bumper has been replaced with an imported aftermarket unit. This is a metal bumper that enhances the off-road capability. The front bumper of the SUV has been replaced with a new unit, and it comes with LED marker lights in it. The headlamps are stock; however, there are two large auxiliary lamps mounted on the front bumper.
The stock fog lamps have also been replaced with new aftermarket LED units. The fog lamp is neatly integrated with the bumper. The bonnet is stock, but it gets two auxiliary lamps installed right in front of the pillars. A working snorkel has also been installed in this truck. Coming to the side profile, you notice the fender flares and the new 18-inch off-road wheels and thick-profile tires. The Hilux also gets a 2-inch lift kit and upgraded suspension setup at the front. This has improved the ground clearance of the SUV. The door visors, chrome door handles can also be seen here. Another major difference or upgrade on this Hilux is the canopy at the rear. The rear bed of the SUV has been closed down to create a space for children.
The canopy is made of metal sheets and it is a unit that is specifically made for Hilux. Metal rock sliders or side steps and a metal off-road spec metal bumper are also seen here in the video. The video also shows how the canopy of this Hilux has been customized. The owner has opted for cushions which can be converted into a bed for 2-3 adults. There are sliding glass windows, cup holders, and sliding glass windows. However, this specific version misses out on AC. If you want, you can have AC in this cabin too. The seats are not fixed and can be removed if not needed.
The interior of this pickup remains the same as stock. Coming to the engine options, Hilux is only available with a diesel engine. It uses the 2.8-liter four-cylinder diesel engine generating 204 PS of power and 500 Nm of torque that is seen with Fortuner. This engine is available with a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission option. Both manual and automatic versions get 4×4 as standard
