Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 in India even before official launch
Ever since Toyota announced the Land Cruiser J300 for the Indian market, the anticipation for the flagship full-size Toyota SUV has been hitting an all-time high. Now, after a long time, it seems that the official beginning of the sales of the Toyota Land Cruiser is nearing, as it has started reaching the Indian shores. Few authorized dealer outlets have also started delivering the SUV, which is interesting to note, because an official announcement is yet to come from Toyota.
Pictures of the brand-new Land Cruiser LC300 came in from Punjab by Car Crazy India. These are the first pictures of the unregistered Land Cruiser LC300. Interestingly, an Indian politician already owns a Land Cruiser LC300 and has been using it for many months now.
According to a few sources, the Toyota Land Cruiser has already gone on sale for Rs 2.1 crore, which is roughly Rs 65 lakh more than the J200 Land Cruiser, the previous-generation model of the SUV which was on sale in India before BS6 emission norms kicked in. A few pictures of people posing with their newly purchased Land Cruiser J300 have surfaced on the internet, which indicates that the deliveries of the flagship SUV have already begun in India.

Only single fully-loaded trim is available
The Land Cruiser J300 has been brought to India in a single fully-loaded trim. For the Indian car market, Toyota has brought the Land Cruiser J300 with a single powertrain option of a 3.3-litre twin-turbocharged diesel engine. Available with a 10-speed automatic gearbox, this engine produces a maximum power output of 309 PS. The Land Cruiser J300 is also available with the 3.4-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine and a 4.0-litre naturally-aspirated V6 petrol engine overseas, both of which have been kept away from the Indian market for the time being.
Built on a heavily-revised GA-F body-on-frame platform, the Toyota Land Cruiser J300 gets a lowered centre of gravity, lower kerb weight and improved suspension structure over its predecessor. The SUV comes with an upgraded electronic kinetic dynamic suspension and a more advanced multi-terrain select system with deep snow and auto modes and a multi-terrain monitor system.
The Toyota Land Cruiser J300 is packed with premium luxurious features like a sunroof, powered front seats with memory function, front seat ventilation, wireless charger, and a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system. For the Indian market, the Toyota Land Cruiser J300 will be offered only in a single five-seater configuration, which will be brought in limited numbers owing to very strong demand for the SUV globally.
In India, given its price positioning, the Toyota Land Cruiser J300 will take on full-size luxury flagship SUVs like BMW X7, Mercedes-Benz GLS, Audi Q8, Range Rover and the upcoming all-new Lexus LX.
