Travis Kelce Throws Sideline Tantrum, Grabs Andy Reid

Kansas City Chiefs tight end was none too happy with being taken out of the game during a running play that resulted in a key fumble

Hell hath no fury like a Travis Kelce scorned.

With 13:01 left in the second quarter of Super Bowl LVIII between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, and the Chiefs down 3-0, star quarterback Patrick Mahomes — a generational talent and the best player on the field for either team — completed a 52-yard heave on the run to wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr., setting the Chiefs up at the 49ers’ 9 yard line.

Travis Kelce, the Chiefs’ tight end, was wide open downfield on the play but celebrated the incredible throw-and-catch. The camera also panned to his ultra-famous girlfriend, Taylor Swift, who was wowed by the play.

Then, Kelce was taken out of the game for the first-down play — a run off left tackle by Isiah Pacheco resulting in a fumble and a Chiefs turnover. And he wasn’t pleased.

After the play, Kelce was seen screaming his head off at Chiefs head coach Andy Reid on the sideline and nearly knocking over the 65-year-old play-caller, presumably unhappy that he was taken out of the game and unavailable to run-block during the pivotal play.

This isn’t the first time Kelce has lost it on the sidelines this year. During a Christmas Day game against the Las Vegas Raiders, Kelce was seen spiking his helmet on the sideline after a fake fumble.
