Twitter is currently working on a new user-focused feature, it will be able to tell you if you’re shadowbanned. This has been announced by the company’s owner himself, Elon Musk.

Musk tweeted out the news by saying that “Twitter is working on a software update that will show your true account status”. He says that you’ll clearly be able to tell if you’re shadowbanned, the reason why, and how can you appeal if you are.
So, what does “shadowbanned” means? Well, it all depends on the platform you get shadowbanned on. For example, if you got shadowbanned in Call of Duty: Warzone, chances are you got thrown into lobbies with cheaters.
What does it mean on Twitter, though? Well, we presume it means that your profile becomes harder to find, and the same goes for your posts. Shadowbanning is meant to exclude you, basically.
Instagram launched a similar feature recently
Instagram actually launched something similar quite recently. The platform lets you know if you’ve been blocked from recommendations. That tool will become more useful on Instagram, as additional, related features are coming.
