ASUS recently confirmed that the ROG Phone 7 series will launch sooner than expected. The devices are coming on April 13, while the ROG Phone 6 series launched in July last year. That being said, a tipster just confirmed that two ASUS ROG Phone 7 models are coming, while he also shared some details.

Two ASUS ROG Phone 7 models are coming on April 13, and here are some details

This time around, we’ll be getting the ASUS ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate. This is a different naming scheme to last year, as last year the company launched the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro.

Now, based on the information provided by the tipster, these two phones will be rather similar. Abhishek Yadav says that they’ll both be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

They will also have the same camera setup, it seems. We’ll get a 50-megapixel main camera (Sony’s IMX766 sensor), a 13-megapixel ultrawide unit, and a 13-megapixel macro camera. A 32-megapixel camera will sit on the front side of these two phones.

Android 13 will come pre-installed on both phones, while both devices will weigh 239 grams, it would seem. We’re looking at the same dimensions too, which means they’ll have the same display size. The devices will measure 173 x 77 x 10.3mm, so they won’t exactly be small.

They will likely include large batteries too

Considering the thickness, you can once again expect a rather large battery on the inside. The ROG Phone 6 series includes a 6,000mAh battery, we may get the very same battery capacity here.

The ASUS ROG Phone 7 Ultimate model is said to ship with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. That is not exactly surprising as the ROG Phone 6 has 18GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

We do hope that ASUS will include LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash storage in both of these phones. That is very likely, as these are gaming smartphones.
