Ubisoft is hosting The Division stream this week – Destructoid

Long division

Ubisoft has announced that it will host a stream to cover what’s upcoming for The Division franchise on April 20. This is apparently “Division Day,” but I feel like most of their target audience knows that day as something else.

The festivities will kick off with a look at the year 5 roadmap for The Division 2, which includes some insight into its “Descent game mode.” I can’t believe The Division 2 has been out for five years. It paradoxically feels like a lot longer and far shorter. I mean, it feels like yesterday that people were complaining that they had to literally queue up to interact with NPCs, because the weird design choice was made to only allow one player to talk to them at a time. In an online game.

Next is a gameplay preview of the upcoming The Division Heartland, which is a free-to-play game in the series’ universe. There’s supposedly going to be an open beta ahead of launch, so maybe we’ll hear a little about that.

Finally, there will be a “project update” for The Division Resurgence, which is an upcoming free-to-play mobile entry in the series. Wait. Where are you going? Come back!

I haven’t really touched anything with Tom Clancy’s name on it since Ubisoft started using it to brand a bunch of multi-player stuff. The Division, in particular, sounds like the oil to my water, which is to say, I don’t think I could get into it. Maybe in my younger days.

The Division stream is set to kick off on April 20, 2023, at 11AM PDT/ 8PM CEST/ 2PM EDT. You’ll be able to view it on Ubisoft’s Twitch and Youtube channels.
